The Rolex Watchmaking Training Center in Dallas will accept applications for its 18-month, full-time, tuition-free watchmaking course from October 15 through December 15, 2026. As of October 7, applications have not yet opened. No prior watchmaking experience is required, but applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and able to attend full time.
What the Rolex Watchmaking Training Center teaches
Located at 2601 N Harwood St in Dallas, Texas, the center was created in 2023 to prepare the next generation of Rolex-certified watchmakers. Its focus is after-sales service: students learn to repair and service watches, not to design or manufacture them. The center describes the course as 18 months long and tuition free. It supplies the tools and learning materials students need and provides a monthly stipend to help offset living costs; the stipend amount is not published on its official pages.
The curriculum covers micromechanics, watch repair, customer service, and practical work repairing and servicing Rolex watches. Classes run Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A cohort begins annually in September, and the final exam is administered in Geneva, Switzerland. Who is eligible to apply
The center says, “No prior watchmaking knowledge or experience is required.” Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must be able to commit to the full-time schedule. The center does not currently accept international students on F, J, or M visas. It does not charge an application fee.

How to apply for the 2026 class
The official application window is October 15–December 15, 2026. The application and FAQ pages describe a selection process with these stages:
- Submit the online application with academic transcripts and an essay during the application window.
- Complete a virtual interview.
- Take an online mechanical aptitude test.
- If selected for the final stage, travel to Dallas for in-person testing and interviews.

Costs, stipend, and housing
Tuition is free, and the center provides the tools and learning materials required for the course. Students also receive a monthly stipend, but the center does not publish an amount on the official pages. The program does not provide housing; its administration may assist students with a housing search.
The FAQ says the stipend is not treated as wages, the center is not the student’s employer, and it does not withhold income tax. It also says stipends count as income for U.S. federal income-tax purposes, and recipients need to calculate and pay applicable tax through their annual federal filings. For personal tax questions, consult a qualified tax professional.

What graduates can expect
The center says successful graduates will have opportunities in the Rolex Service Network, primarily at Official Rolex Jewelers around the country, and that its team actively assists with job placement. This is placement support and access to opportunities, not a guaranteed job or employment by Rolex headquarters.
