Rolex introduced three meteorite-dial Cosmograph Daytona references for the 2025 model year: the yellow-gold 126518LN-0016, the Everose-gold 126515LN-0008, and the white-gold 126519LN-0007. All three combine a 40 mm precious-metal Oyster case with a black Cerachrom bezel, black Oysterflex bracelet and Rolex calibre 4131.
They remain listed in Rolex’s catalogue as of August 12, 2026, but they are 2025 introductions—not a new 2026 launch. The important distinction from earlier meteorite Daytonas is the configuration: these watches use black ceramic bezels and Oysterflex bracelets instead of the previous precious-metal bezel and full-metal bracelet combinations.

The watches share the same basic technical package. The choice is primarily one of precious-metal color and visual character rather than movement or performance.

What makes the dials meteorite?
Rolex describes the dial material as meteorite originating from the metallic cores of asteroids. As the molten material cools extremely slowly, it forms an irregular crystalline structure. When the material is cut and finished for a watch dial, that structure creates the distinctive striated, metallic pattern associated with meteorite dials.
No two pieces of the raw material present exactly the same pattern in ordinary visual terms, so the dial on one watch will not look precisely like the dial shown in another photograph. That variation is part of the appeal, but it is more accurate to say that each dial has its own visual character than to make an absolute claim that every dial is legally or technically unique.
On these Daytonas, the natural silver-toned meteorite is contrasted with black chronograph counters and black details. The result is more graphic and high-contrast than a plain metal dial, while still retaining the reflective, organic texture that separates meteorite from conventional sunray or lacquered finishes.
What changed from the earlier meteorite Daytona formula?
The 2025 references do not simply reproduce the earlier full-metal meteorite Daytonas. Rolex paired the new trio with a black monobloc Cerachrom bezel and a black Oysterflex bracelet.
The black Cerachrom bezel gives the watch a darker, more technical frame. Its moulded tachymetric scale is designed to let the wearer read average speeds of up to 400 miles or kilometres per hour. The ceramic is also resistant to corrosion and colour degradation, according to Rolex’s general description of Cerachrom components.
The Oysterflex configuration changes the wearing experience and the visual balance. Rather than using a conventional rubber strap, Rolex constructs the bracelet around flexible metal blades that are overmoulded with high-performance elastomer. Cushioning elements on the underside help position the watch on the wrist, and the bracelet closes with an Oysterlock safety clasp incorporating Rolex’s Glidelock extension system.
The 2025 watches also carry the updated design language of the modern Daytona generation, including revised bezel framing, slimmer hour markers and an updated presentation of the subdials. These are meaningful design and configuration changes, but they should not be described as a completely new chronograph architecture introduced in 2025.

Calibre 4131 and what the watch does
All three models use Rolex calibre 4131, the manufacture self-winding mechanical chronograph used in the current-generation Cosmograph Daytona. It provides the central chronograph function and the Daytona’s three-register layout while winding itself as the wearer moves.

Rolex states a precision tolerance of -2/+2 seconds per day after the movement has been cased. That is a rating, not a promise that every watch will gain or lose exactly the same amount in every position and condition. Actual performance can be affected by magnetism, temperature, shocks, position and service condition.
The approximately 72-hour power reserve is practical for owners who rotate watches. If the Daytona is fully wound and then left unworn, it can run for roughly three days before stopping, although the exact duration can vary. Stopping does not mean the watch is damaged; it can be restarted and set according to Rolex’s instructions.
How the three versions look different
126518LN-0016: yellow gold
The yellow-gold Daytona is the most traditional and visually assertive of the three. Its warm, bright case contrasts strongly with the black Cerachrom bezel and black Oysterflex bracelet, while the meteorite dial adds a paler metallic centre to the composition.

This is the clearest choice for someone who wants the classic precious-metal Daytona presence. The black ceramic and rubber-like bracelet make it sportier than an all-yellow-gold configuration, but the case colour remains immediately conspicuous.
126515LN-0008: Everose gold
The Everose model uses Rolex’s proprietary 18 kt pink-gold alloy. Rolex introduced Everose in 2005 and produces it in its own foundry. Its warmer pink tone gives the meteorite-and-black layout a softer, more contemporary appearance than yellow gold.
Because the bezel and bracelet remain black, the case material does not become overly ornamental. Instead, the contrast is warm against cool: pink gold around a silver-toned natural dial, with black framing the chronograph display.

The white-gold reference is the most discreet visually. Its case sits more quietly alongside the black bezel and bracelet, and it does not create the same immediate colour contrast as yellow or Everose gold.
That understated presentation does not make it less luxurious—the case is still 18 kt white gold—but it can be the most restrained choice for an owner who wants the meteorite texture and Daytona identity without an obviously yellow- or pink-gold watch.
These descriptions are aesthetic interpretations, not performance rankings. The three references have the same case diameter, movement, water resistance, power reserve, bezel material and bracelet construction.
Prices and availability
At the August 12, 2026 research check, Rolex’s US product pages displayed prices of $47,300 for the yellow-gold 126518LN-0016 and $49,400 each for the Everose 126515LN-0008 and white-gold 126519LN-0007.
For historical launch context, specialist coverage reported euro retail prices of €42,200 for the yellow-gold model and €44,100 for the Everose- and white-gold models in May 2025. Those figures should not be substituted for current US pricing: regional taxes, currency, price revisions and local retail policies differ.
A listed price is not a promise that a watch is sitting in a shop. Rolex advises buyers to contact an Official Rolex Jeweler for model-specific availability. New, genuine Rolex watches are sold through Official Rolex Jewelers, which can advise on supply, authenticate the purchase and provide the international five-year guarantee under Rolex’s stated purchase conditions.
Buying an authentic example
The safest route for a new watch is an Official Rolex Jeweler. Be cautious with any listing that uses official-sounding language but cannot establish that the seller is part of Rolex’s authorized network. A low price, urgent payment request or refusal to provide verifiable documentation should be treated as a warning sign, not as proof of a bargain.
For a pre-owned watch, Rolex’s Certified Pre-Owned program is the strongest official authentication pathway where it is available. Rolex says Certified Pre-Owned watches are authenticated and serviced in Rolex workshops and come with a two-year international guarantee. The program is offered only through certain authorized points of sale, so an ordinary marketplace listing is not equivalent to Rolex Certified Pre-Owned status.
Before buying a pre-owned meteorite Daytona, confirm the exact reference, case material, dial configuration, bracelet and clasp, serial documentation, service history and seller’s return terms. A photograph of a meteorite dial alone does not establish authenticity. Aftermarket parts, replaced components and modified watches can also affect collectability and warranty considerations.

Why these Daytonas matter to collectors
The appeal comes from the combination of three established signals: the Cosmograph Daytona’s motor-sport history, an 18 kt gold case and a natural meteorite dial. The black Cerachrom bezel and Oysterflex bracelet add a more contemporary, technical contrast than the earlier full-metal meteorite configurations.
The Daytona was launched in 1963 and became closely associated with motor racing. Its tachymetric bezel and chronograph layout are functional reminders of that history, even though most owners will not use the scale to measure racing speeds in daily life.

There is not enough reliable information to assign production quantities, predict investment returns or claim that one of the three references will outperform the others on the secondary market. Their long-term desirability will depend on factors including condition, provenance, service history, market demand and Rolex’s future catalogue decisions.
Which meteorite Daytona should you choose?
- Choose the yellow-gold 126518LN-0016 if you want the most traditional and noticeable precious-metal presentation, and prefer the lowest listed US price of the trio.
- Choose the Everose-gold 126515LN-0008 if you prefer a warmer, pink-gold tone that feels more contemporary while retaining substantial wrist presence.
- Choose the white-gold 126519LN-0007 if you want the most understated case colour and would rather let the meteorite dial provide the visual interest.
There is no mechanical winner: the three watches share the same 40 mm format, calibre 4131, approximately 72-hour power reserve, 100-metre water resistance, black Cerachrom bezel and black Oysterflex construction. The decision is about colour, visibility and personal preference.

How much do the meteorite Daytona watches cost in the US?
At the August 12, 2026 research check, Rolex displayed $47,300 for the yellow-gold 126518LN-0016 and $49,400 for both the Everose-gold 126515LN-0008 and white-gold 126519LN-0007. Prices can change.
Do the three watches use the same movement?
Yes. Each uses Rolex calibre 4131, a self-winding mechanical chronograph with approximately 72 hours of power reserve and Rolex-stated precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
Are the meteorite dials identical?
No. The natural meteorite material develops irregular crystalline patterns as it cools, so individual dials can have visibly different patterns and character.
Is Rolex Oysterflex a rubber strap?
It has a high-performance elastomer exterior, but Rolex describes its construction as flexible metal blades overmoulded with elastomer, with cushioning elements on the underside.

No. A winder is optional. It can keep an automatic watch running between wears, but a stopped Daytona can be restarted and set manually.
The Bottom Line
Rolex’s 2025 meteorite Daytona trio is best understood as one technical package in three precious-metal executions: yellow gold for the classic statement, Everose gold for warmth, and white gold for discretion. The more significant update is the modern pairing of meteorite and black dials with a Cerachrom bezel and Oysterflex bracelet. Verify current pricing and availability with an Official Rolex Jeweler, and treat Rolex Certified Pre-Owned as a distinct official channel rather than equating it with an ordinary marketplace listing.
