What the RZE Ascentus GMT is
The Ascentus GMT is a titanium sports watch with a grain-textured dial, applied luminous indices, a date display and a 24-hour GMT hand. Fratello’s hands-on review describes a bead-blasted Grade 2 titanium case with RZE’s UltraHex coating, a sapphire crystal with inner-side Super-AR coating, and a screw-down solid titanium caseback with a Viton gasket. Time+Tide also reported a 40 mm case, 46 mm lug-to-lug, 20 mm lug width, NH34 movement, 41-hour reserve and 200 m water resistance. WatchReport says the bracelet has quick-release pins. These are source-reported details; confirm the exact configuration with the seller before buying.
How the NH34 GMT works
The GMT hand tracks a second time zone on a 24-hour scale. Fratello says it can be adjusted independently, allowing the wearer to set that hand to a chosen reference time while the main hour and minute hands show local time. The date and 24-hour bezel are additional listed functions.

It is not a traveler-style jumping-hour GMT
WatchReport characterizes the NH34 setup as not a “true GMT” because it lacks a jumping local hour hand. That is the reviewer’s terminology, not a manufacturer classification. In practical terms, a traveler-style GMT lets the wearer change local time in one-hour jumps while the reference-time hand continues tracking another zone. The distinction matters most if you frequently cross time zones and want to reset local time without disturbing the other display; for tracking another time zone from home, an independently adjustable GMT hand may be sufficient. Fit, materials and wearing considerations
The reported 40 mm diameter is only part of the fit picture: the 46 mm lug-to-lug span and 13 mm thickness also affect how the watch sits on the wrist. If possible, compare all three measurements with a watch you already find comfortable. Titanium generally offers a different wearing feel from steel, but the cited reviews do not provide a measured weight for this model, so do not rely on an unverified weight comparison.
