Samsung’s final specifications later confirmed the most important claims. The production Galaxy Watch7 and first-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra both use the Exynos W1000, a five-core chip made using a 3nm process. Both also include 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage. Samsung lists L1+L5 dual-frequency GPS on both models, alongside GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo support.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra at Galaxy Unpacked in Paris on July 10, 2024. Samsung announced global availability beginning July 24, while Samsung’s U.S. newsroom identified July 24, 2024 as the U.S. general-availability date after preorders opened on July 10.
That timing matters because the title’s wording is now dated. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic in July 2025 and continued the Ultra line with a 2025 refresh.
