What is the Schofield Light?
Schofield Watch Company describes the Light as a general-purpose field watch designed for legibility and reliability, with subtle military cues. It is offered as The Light One and The Dark One. Both use full numerical hour markings, high-contrast monochrome colors, a matte finish, a crown at 4 o’clock, and a box sapphire crystal. The Dark One has a gunmetal-grey PVD-coated case; The Light One is the lighter-colored version. How big is the Schofield Light on the wrist?
Its 40 mm diameter is only part of the fit picture: the manufacturer lists a 48 mm lug length and a 13.5 mm height including lugs. Compare all three dimensions with a watch you already find comfortable, especially if long lugs or a taller case tend to feel large on your wrist. The available sources provide dimensions, not wrist measurements or an independent wear assessment.

How do you read the Schofield Light GMT hand?
The NH34A’s GMT hand completes one rotation every 24 hours, while the dial’s only index is a 12-hour scale. Schofield’s launch page acknowledges that reading it takes some commitment. Before buying, make sure you understand how you would distinguish the hand’s 24-hour indication and whether that display suits your time-zone use. The pages cited here do not provide a full setting manual.
What size strap does the Schofield Light take?
Schofield specifies 22 mm straight-cut straps with quick-release spring bars and supplies both India rubber and grey leather lined with red calf. The company names Sugar Free as the strap maker or brand. Although a generic 22 mm strap matches the stated width, Schofield says the strap is rebated under a case lip, so a standard replacement may not reproduce the intended fit. Check the attachment and case clearance before ordering a substitute.

Schofield’s official product pages displayed £2,190 and “In stock” for each color when accessed. The Dark One page says the displayed price includes UK VAT, with VAT deducted at checkout for customers outside the UK. These are changeable listing details, so check the relevant Light One or Dark One page for current price, stock, and tax treatment.
For context, Fratello’s 2024 review gave a launch-era price of £2,195 including UK VAT or £1,825 excluding VAT; that dated figure is distinct from Schofield’s later £2,190 listing. Fratello’s review
