Which watches belong to the 38 mm SKX Mid-Size collection?
Seiko USA’s SKX series lineup includes SRPK29, SRPK31 and SRPK33. Seiko Thailand identifies SRPK29K, SRPK31K, SRPK33K and SRPK35K as its 38 mm Mid-Size set, illustrating why suffixes and lineup listings should be checked for the relevant market. Seiko’s official U.S. lineup is at the SKX series page; the Thailand identification appears in Seiko Club by Seiko Thailand’s 38 mm collection video.
The word “SKX” can also refer to a separate, larger group. Seiko’s June 8, 2023 anniversary release describes SRPK09, SRPK11 and SRPK13 as SKX Sports Style watches measuring 42.5 mm across. They share design language but are not members of this 38 mm Mid-Size group. See Seiko’s anniversary release.

Dimensions and movement figures in the table are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or timing results. Seiko’s model pages provide the source detail: SRPK29, SRPK31 and SRPK33. Exact color descriptions for SRPK33 and SRPK35 are not established by the cited specification material, so confirm the relevant product page before comparing their appearance.

What does the 38 mm case mean for fit?
Diameter is only one part of wrist fit. Seiko lists a 44.2 mm case length and 12.1 mm thickness for SRPK29 and SRPK31; SRPK33’s listing gives 44.2 mm lug-to-lug and 12.1 mm thickness. Those measurements add useful context to the 38 mm diameter, but they cannot guarantee how a watch will sit on a particular wrist. Seiko describes its online wrist-size illustration as an approximate aid, not a substitute for trying the watch on.
SRPK29’s listed lug width is 20 mm. That specification can help when looking for a strap with a matching width, but it does not establish compatibility with any particular aftermarket strap, bracelet, end link or component.

What features and movement does Seiko specify?
For SRPK29, Seiko lists a stainless-steel case and bracelet, Hardlex crystal, day-date calendar, luminous hands and markers, a unidirectional elapsed-timing bezel, locking clasp and screwdown see-through caseback. Its stated water resistance is 10 bar (100 m). SRPK31 shares the principal movement and case specifications in its official listing. SRPK33’s page also identifies Hardlex and 10 bar water resistance.
The cited models use Seiko’s automatic 4R36 movement, which can also be wound manually. Seiko specifies 24 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and an approximately 41-hour power reserve for SRPK29 and SRPK31; the SRPK33 page lists the 4R36 and approximately 41-hour reserve. These are the manufacturer’s stated specifications. They do not establish an individual watch’s measured accuracy or actual running time between full winds.

How Seiko positions the design
Seiko describes the SKX series as “Inspired by the Seiko SKX series, one of Seiko’s best-loved sports watches.” That is the brand’s own product positioning. On the SRPK29 page, Seiko also points to the colors of 1980s quartz divers as a design influence. These statements explain the intended connection; they are not independent historical rankings or evidence that the 38 mm watches are reproductions of an earlier model.
Seiko says Seiko 5 Sports began in 1968 and relaunched in 2019. Its 2023 anniversary release discusses the separate 42.5 mm SRPK09, SRPK11 and SRPK13, so figures in that release should not be transferred to the 38 mm Mid-Size watches. What should you check before buying?
- Confirm the complete reference, including any regional suffix, against the seller’s listing and the matching Seiko product page.
- Compare diameter with length, thickness and lug width when assessing fit or selecting a strap; numbers alone do not predict how the case will wear.
- Check the dial and bezel on the exact reference page rather than assuming every member of the collection uses the same colors.
- Verify current local price and stock with the seller. Seiko USA’s SRPK29 page showed $350 when accessed on October 3, 2026; its SRPK31 page showed $350 and sold out at that capture. Those are time- and market-specific page states, not a global price guide or a guarantee of current availability.
