The watch most closely matching “Seiko Presage automatic enamel dial” is the Presage Classic Series SPB537, a tonneau-shaped automatic dress watch with a white enamel dial. Seiko announced its worldwide availability from February 2026 through Seiko Boutiques and selected retailers. The title does not identify a reference number, so confirm SPB537 is the intended model before treating these details as applying to a different Presage enamel watch.
This is a specifications-and-design overview, not a first-hand review: the available information establishes Seiko’s published specifications and craft descriptions, but not wrist fit, measured accuracy, comfort, or long-term durability.
What is the Seiko Presage SPB537?
The SPB537 is a stainless-steel automatic watch in Seiko’s Presage Classic Series. Seiko describes it as the lineup’s only tonneau-shaped model at the time of its January 8, 2026 announcement. Its white enamel dial, Roman numerals, railway-track-style minute markings, and six-o’clock 24-hour sub-dial give it a traditional dress-watch appearance. Seiko says the numeral and sub-dial design takes inspiration from its Timekeeper pocket watch, introduced in 1895. Seiko’s SPB537 release
The case is 46.0 mm long, 35.9 mm wide, and 12.5 mm thick, according to Seiko. The length and width describe a shaped case rather than a conventional round watch, so a wrist try-on is more informative than comparing width alone. The published figures cannot establish how it will fit a particular wrist or whether it will clear a shirt cuff.

What the 72-hour reserve means
Seiko rates Caliber 6R5H for a 72-hour power reserve. That is the manufacturer’s stated reserve, not a measurement of how long an individual watch will run under particular conditions. The movement’s 24-hour sub-dial is a separate display: it indicates a 24-hour cycle rather than serving as a second time zone, according to the product description.

Interpreting the water-resistance rating
Seiko specifies 5 bar water resistance. This is a published rating, not a guarantee about the condition of a particular watch or its seals over time. The release does not establish performance in an independent water test.
Is the SPB537 dial real enamel?
Yes. Seiko identifies the SPB537’s white dial as enamel, a glassy glaze baked onto metal. The company credits master artisan Mitsuru Yokosawa and Kazunori Uchiyama, who developed his skills under Yokosawa’s guidance. Seiko says the artisans adjust glaze composition to account for temperature and humidity differences. These are Seiko’s descriptions of the making process, not independent findings about scratch resistance, aging, or durability. Seiko’s SPB537 release

Seiko’s craft page says enamel was also used on the Laurel, which the company describes as Japan’s first wristwatch. It credits Yokosawa with being able to apply a flawless enamel coat just 0.1 mm thin, while adjusting composition for changes in humidity and weather. That 0.1 mm figure describes the coat he can apply, as stated on Seiko’s page; it is not a published measurement of the SPB537 dial’s enamel layer. Seiko’s enamel craftsmanship page

Seiko says the minute and seconds hand tips bend slightly toward the dial markings to enhance legibility. The release describes the design intent; it does not provide an independent legibility assessment. Seiko’s SPB537 release

For an online listing, check that the reference is specifically SPB537 and verify the seller, destination market, and current price. No live retailer inventory is established here. The available product information also does not specify lug width or confirm strap compatibility, so do not assume a replacement strap will fit without checking the watch’s dimensions with Seiko or a retailer.
What published information cannot tell you
Specifications and product descriptions do not replace trying on the watch or measuring its performance. The sources cited here do not establish how its 46.0 mm length and 35.9 mm width wear on a given wrist, whether the 12.5 mm case catches on cuffs, how the crystal looks in changing light, or how readable the dial is at a glance. They also do not establish bracelet comfort, clasp security, measured timekeeping, or long-term reliability. Those points require a physical assessment or a clearly described test.
