The Seiko Prospex Alpinist SPB532J1, nicknamed “Snow Dial” in a launch report, was announced as a limited release for five Asian markets—not as a standard worldwide Alpinist. The report says production was limited to 800 pieces and lists a snow-white textured dial, 6R35 automatic movement, 70-hour power reserve, and 200-meter water resistance. Its October 2025 release information does not establish today’s price or availability.
What is the Seiko Alpinist SPB532J1?
SPB532J1 is the exact reference identified in Notebookcheck’s October 18, 2025 report on a Thong Sia Group exclusive Prospex Alpinist. The report calls it “Snow Dial” and describes a textured snow-white dial inspired by snowy mountain peaks. “Ice-white” is another description of the dial, not a different model name.
The reported initial release markets were Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. The reported 800-piece production limit applies to this release; it does not indicate a worldwide allocation. Notebookcheck’s launch report is the available source for these model-specific details.

Reported release timing and price
Notebookcheck reported a release price of $1,127.10. The report does not establish that amount as a current price, nor does the figure alone confirm its currency or regional terms; check with a seller before relying on it. The report said the watch would be shown at a Kuala Lumpur event from November 3–9, 2025, with authorized-dealer availability beginning November 10, 2025. Those were planned launch dates, not confirmation of present stock.
How it fits into the Alpinist line
Seiko dates the Alpinist’s origins to 1959, when it introduced the Laurel Alpinist for mountain climbers and recreational field-sports enthusiasts. Seiko describes it as the company’s first sports watch. Its historical account provides lineage, but does not independently verify the SPB532J1 launch specifications. Seiko’s Alpinist history and 2021 releases also covers the separate SJE085 re-creation and SPB241, SPB243, and SPB245 reinterpretations; their specifications should not be attributed to SPB532J1.

- Screw-down crown, screw, see-through caseback, 70 hour power reserve, magnified date window, LumiBrite hands and markers
Seiko’s current Alpinist collection page describes different models—SPB503, SPB505, and SPB507—with Caliber 6R55, a three-day power reserve, and 20-bar water resistance. The page’s described lineup has green dials. These are current collection models, not the limited SPB532J1, so their movement and other details are not substitutes for the reported Snow Dial specifications. Because the launch account is a secondary report and does not establish current inventory, treat a listing as a specific purchase only after checking its details. Confirm the reference is SPB532J1 rather than another Alpinist, and ask the seller to document the watch’s condition and included items.
