Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf you want an affordable automatic watch for actual scuba use, start with the exact reference’s diver certification—not its depth rating alone. Citizen’s Italian listings identify the NY0040 variants as ISO 6425-certified divers; Seiko’s SRPE93 is listed as a diver’s watch with 200m water resistance. The Orient Kamasu is a plausible specification-focused alternative, but the available comparison is secondary, so verify its exact reference and regional specifications before buying.
These watches suit different wrists and priorities: the Citizen is the more compact listed option, the Seiko is a larger cushion-shaped watch with day and date, and the Orient is worth investigating if sapphire is high on your list. None is a universal best choice.

How the three options differ
The specifications below apply to the cited references, not every watch in each product family. Citizen’s product pages are for the Italian market; Seiko’s cited page is for the UK market. The Orient details come from a secondary comparison rather than an official manufacturer listing.

Which one is likely to fit your wrist?
Citizen NY0040: the smaller listed diameter
At 42mm, the NY0040-09W has a smaller stated case diameter than the 45mm SRPE93. That is a useful starting point for someone wary of a large watch, but diameter does not determine fit by itself. Lug-to-lug length is not established here, and case shape, thickness, strap flexibility, and wrist shape affect how a watch wears. Try the exact version on if possible.
The NY0040’s crown sits at an offset position, a recognizable feature of the design. Choose between the polyurethane-strap -09W and bracelet -50W by the exact reference, rather than assuming the two listings describe identical wear configurations.

Seiko Turtle SRPE93: a substantial cushion case
The SRPE93 is 45mm across and 13.4mm thick according to Seiko. Its cushion-shaped case can wear differently from a conventional round case of the same diameter, but the listed measurements still make it the larger, thicker option in this comparison. It is the better fit on paper if you want a prominent watch and are comfortable with that scale; check it on your wrist before ordering if fit is uncertain.
Orient Kamasu: verify the exact version
The Kamasu is worth considering if the reported sapphire crystal and 200m rating appeal to you. Those details are not confirmed here against an official Orient specification page, and model names and configurations can vary by reference and market. Confirm the model code, crystal, water-resistance description, and supplied bracelet or strap in the manufacturer’s local listing before treating the comparison as settled.

Does a 200m or 20-bar rating mean it is a certified dive watch?
No. A water-resistance figure and a diver’s-watch certification are not interchangeable claims. Citizen’s cited Italian NY0040 pages explicitly identify the watches as ISO 6425-certified professional divers. Seiko’s SRPE93 page calls it a diver’s watch and lists 200m/660ft diver’s water resistance. The secondary Kamasu comparison reports 200m, but that alone does not establish an ISO 6425 certification.
If you intend to scuba dive, use the maker’s instructions and service guidance for the exact watch. Water-resistance ratings do not guarantee continued resistance after wear, impact, or aging seals; have the watch checked and serviced as the manufacturer directs. For swimming or everyday exposure, follow the same manual rather than treating a rating as permission for every kind of water activity.

Crystal, movement, and daily use
Crystal: mineral, Hardlex, or reported sapphire
Citizen lists mineral crystal on the NY0040-09W; Seiko lists Hardlex on the SRPE93. The cited secondary Kamasu comparison reports sapphire, which should be verified for the exact reference. These materials involve trade-offs: sapphire is generally chosen for scratch resistance, while mineral-type crystals can be less costly to replace. None is unbreakable, and a crystal label alone does not decide which watch is better for your use.

Movement and functions
The SRPE93’s 4R36 supports manual winding, and Seiko lists an approximately 41-hour power reserve. Its day-and-date display can be useful if you wear the watch regularly. Citizen’s cited NY0040 pages specify an automatic mechanical movement, but the cited listings do not establish a reserve figure or all movement functions. The secondary Kamasu comparison names the F6922; confirm movement details for the reference being sold.

Automatic watches require occasional time-setting and maintenance, and their timekeeping can vary. No comparative accuracy, reliability, or service-cost results are established for these models here. If precise timekeeping with minimal adjustment is your priority, weigh that practical trade-off before choosing any mechanical watch.
Quick Recap
Choose by your actual priority
- Formal diver credentials in the cited specifications: the Citizen NY0040 has the clearest explicit ISO 6425 statement in the sources here. Check the exact local variant listing.
- A larger watch with day and date: the Seiko Prospex Turtle SRPE93 pairs those functions with a 45mm, 13.4mm case and a stated 200m diver’s rating.
- Sapphire as a priority: investigate the Orient Kamasu, but verify the exact reference and manufacturer specifications rather than relying only on the secondary comparison.
- A bracelet rather than a strap: compare the Citizen -50W bracelet variant with the exact Seiko or Orient configuration on sale. Supplied wear configuration can differ by reference and market.
- A value purchase: compare current authorized local offers, warranty coverage, return terms, and exact reference. Live prices and stock are not established here, so a meaningful price ranking cannot be made.
What to verify before buying
- Match the reference code on the watch listing to the manufacturer’s page; do not assume specifications carry over across a family name.
- For diving, check whether the manufacturer explicitly describes the exact model as a diver’s watch or identifies its certification, then read its use and service instructions.
- Compare case diameter and thickness, and try the watch on if possible. Ask for lug-to-lug measurement if fit is a close call.
- Confirm crystal material, movement functions, strap or bracelet, and any market-specific differences in the official listing.
- Check local price, authorized-seller status, warranty, availability, and return policy at the time of purchase; these can change.
