There is no single Seiko x Sanrio watch. Sanrio has announced three separate character collaborations with Seiko: a Hello Kitty 50th anniversary model, a Little Twin Stars 50th anniversary model, and a Hangyodon model. Each has its own dial, its own announcement date, its own announced price, and its own named seller. The right choice depends mostly on which character you are buying for and which dial palette you want on your wrist.
Three separate releases, not one collection
Sanrio’s official watch category also lists many Sanrio-branded watches that have nothing to do with Seiko, so it helps to separate the Seiko collaborations before comparing them. The three models below are the ones described in Sanrio’s own product announcements. Sanrio presents them as character-specific releases rather than variants of a shared design, so a difference in one model does not imply a difference in the others.

How the three designs differ
The announcements describe each dial in concrete terms. The differences are visual and thematic, so the choice comes down to taste and gift context rather than to any performance claim.
Hello Kitty: pink tartan and debut-era artwork
The Hello Kitty model has a pale pink dial with a tartan pattern that Sanrio ties to London. Hello Kitty appears at the six o’clock position in a design that recalls her debut era. The caseback carries the 50th anniversary logo and an edition number, and the watch comes in a special box. This is the only one of the three announcements that presents the watch explicitly as a numbered edition, which makes it the natural pick for a buyer who wants a collectible with a stated production limit. It is also the most overtly anniversary-driven of the three.

Little Twin Stars: a starry-night dial and metal band
The Little Twin Stars model uses a starry-night dial, paired with a metal band. The two characters are shown holding hands, so the design centres on the pair rather than on a single character. It suits a buyer who likes a night-sky look and a more metallic, dressier strap, and who wants the anniversary story to be about the Little Twin Stars duo.
Hangyodon: emerald sea palette and gold shells
The Hangyodon model has an emerald-green dial inspired by the sea, decorated with gold shell motifs, and it features Hangyodon together with Sayuri. It is the most colour-led of the three, and it is the one a buyer would choose for a green, marine palette or for the Hangyodon and Sayuri pairing. Of the three announcements it is also the most recent.

Choosing the right design
Start with the character the recipient already loves, then use the dial to decide between them. If two characters appeal equally, the following points usually settle it.
- Choose Hello Kitty if you want pink and tartan, debut-era character art, and a watch with a printed edition number and a stated production limit of 2,024 pieces.
- Choose Little Twin Stars if you prefer a night-sky dial, a metal band, and a design built around the two characters together.
- Choose Hangyodon if you prefer an emerald sea palette, shell imagery, and the pairing of Hangyodon with Sayuri.
- Choose by edition status only if numbering matters to you. Hello Kitty is the only model whose announcement states a quantity.
Character affinity and dial colour are the only criteria the announcements actually support. They do not establish which model is more comfortable, more accurate, more durable, or better value, so do not treat the announced prices as a ranking of quality.

Prices, sellers and listing checks
The prices in the table are announcement prices in Japanese yen, including tax, taken from Sanrio’s own product pages at the time each was published. They are not current prices. Inventory, resale prices and prices in other markets can differ, and none of the cited sources establishes present stock or shipping terms for any of the three models.
- Open the current Sanrio or seller listing for the exact model you want, using the seller named in the table as the starting point.
- For Little Twin Stars, check whether the Sanrio online shop is now carrying the model. The 2025 announcement planned that from February 2026, and that plan is not confirmed by a later source.
- Compare the listed price with the announced price, and note whether the listing shows tax, shipping and any import charges.
- Check the listed edition details. For Hello Kitty, confirm the caseback logo and edition number are described in the listing.
Sanrio’s watch category also showed a Pompompurin 30th anniversary Seiko collaboration watch at ¥49,280 when it was viewed on 9 October 2026. That product is outside the three-model comparison above, and the category listing will change, so verify it separately if it is relevant to you.

What the announcements do not tell you
Sanrio’s product pages describe the designs but not the technical specification of the watches. Before buying, take the following from the model’s full technical listing rather than from the announcement:
- Case size, lug width and wrist fit
- Movement type and power source
- Water resistance rating
- Case, crystal and band materials
- Warranty terms and who provides after-sales service
Those details are not established for these three models by the announcements, so the comparison above is limited to design, anniversary context, announced price and named seller.
