Which bezel suits your use?
Standard model: minute-ratcheting pilot bezel
The standard bezel’s minute scale is the more natural fit if you want to use the rotating marker for elapsed-time tracking. Its luminous key mark also supports the classic pilot-watch look. Sinn’s October 2025 technical sheet describes the standard model’s bezel and core specifications.
Lufthansa Edition: 12-hour second-time-zone scale
The Lufthansa Edition swaps the minute-based pilot scale for a 12-hour ratcheting bezel intended to track a second time zone. That is a different tool, not simply a cosmetic change: consider whether you would use the hour scale before choosing it. The function and edition details are described in WatchTime’s October 2026 launch report.

Which calendar and design do you prefer?
The standard 103 St Sa shows both weekday and date, while the Lufthansa Edition retains only the date. If checking the day of the week on the watch is useful to you, the standard model has the clear advantage.
Visually, the standard is the restrained option: matte black rather than dark grey, without the edition’s yellow chronograph accents. The Lufthansa model makes its anniversary identity more prominent. Neither dial treatment changes the basic choice: decide whether you want the conventional black 103 look or the grey-and-yellow edition design.

Is the Lufthansa Edition worth the reported premium?
The 2026 comparison reports a €2,750 starting price for the standard model and a €2,890 launch price for the limited edition—a €140 difference in those reported figures. They are dated reports, not a current quotation, and may not reflect your region, configuration, taxes, or present availability. Check the price and stock with a seller before treating the difference as what you will pay.
The edition adds a two-strap package and limited production of 100 numbered watches, as reported by Hodinkee on October 2, 2026 and WatchTime on October 6, 2026. Those facts do not establish how many remain or whether any particular seller is authorized.

What the movement specifications do—and do not—tell you
The standard uses the Concepto C99001, while the Lufthansa Edition uses a Sellita SW500. WatchTime reports a 62-hour reserve for the edition’s SW500, but Sinn’s October 2025 standard-model sheet does not state a reserve for the C99001. That incomplete comparison is not enough to say one watch runs longer in a like-for-like published specification set.
The available specifications also do not establish a head-to-head difference in accuracy, service intervals, long-term reliability, or resale value. A movement name or a single reserve figure is not proof of superior reliability, so treat those as questions for further model-specific documentation rather than deciding from assumption.

Check before placing an order
- Confirm current local price, taxes, delivery terms, and stock; the cited prices are 2026 reports rather than live listings.
- For the Lufthansa Edition, verify the specific watch’s numbered-edition status and the seller’s authorization instead of assuming availability from the 100-piece production figure.
- If exact Lufthansa case thickness matters, confirm it with a current manufacturer specification: launch coverage reports 17 mm, while a comparison lists 17.2 mm.
- Confirm the standard model’s strap configuration in the order rather than assuming a particular strap is included.
