Check the fit, not just the diameter
Sinn’s October 2025 product information lists a 41 mm case diameter, 20 mm band lug width, 17 mm case thickness and weight of 88 g without a strap. The 17 mm thickness deserves particular attention: consider how the case may sit under your usual sleeves as well as how its diameter and weight feel on your wrist. These figures are specifications, not a substitute for trying the watch on.

Understand the water-resistance specification
Sinn specifies pressure resistance to 20 bar and resistance to low pressure at high flight altitudes. These are manufacturer specifications, not proof of the condition of an individual watch. For a pre-owned example, the stated rating cannot establish that its seals remain sound; if water resistance matters to your use, ask an appropriate watch service provider to check it.

How to compare it with another pilot chronograph
Make a like-for-like comparison rather than relying on a broad category label. Check case diameter and thickness, movement and functions, bezel operation, stated pressure resistance, strap or bracelet configuration, warranty and service access, and total purchase price. Sinn’s cited documents establish the 103 St Sa’s specifications, but they do not support a head-to-head verdict against another model.
