Former swimming star Stephanie Rice said she loves her bespoke engagement ring after announcing her engagement to Perth-based pastor Mark Lassey, according to PerthNow’s 6 September 2024 report. The ring was designed by Charles Edward Jewellers in Perth’s London Court arcade.
What did Stephanie Rice say about her engagement ring?
“I love the ring, it’s so beautiful”, Rice said in the report. Lassey said the design was “a one of one design that we had the opportunity of developing together step by step and that was really important to Steph and to me”. He also described the jeweller dealings as a “brilliant experience”.
What does the ring look like?
PerthNow described it as an individually crafted 18-carat white-gold band with a centre stone and eight diamonds on each side. The report does not identify the centre stone or give its weight, grading, or price.
Who designed the ring?
The report names Charles Edward Jewellers, located in Perth’s London Court shopping arcade, as the designer. Lassey said, “Part of the journey wasn’t just walking into the store, but having a relationship outside of the store as well.” Charles Edward called the ring a one-off, saying, “This is a once-off because I haven’t done it for anybody else,” according to PerthNow.

What did PerthNow report about the engagement?
Zach Margolius’s 6 September 2024 story said Rice announced her engagement to Lassey on the Thursday before publication. It described Lassey as a Perth-based pastor and said they met roughly seven months earlier through a mutual friend. The report also said Rice shared proposal photographs taken at Atlantis the Royal in Dubai on Instagram. These are details from that 2024 report, not an update on the couple’s present circumstances.
