What is the black-and-pink Monaco Chronograph?
It is TAG Heuer’s Monaco Chronograph reference CBL218B.FT6236. The manufacturer’s US product page identifies the model by that reference and describes its black sandblasted skeleton dial, pink details and black DLC-coated titanium case. The reference matters: Monaco is a collection, and other black Monaco models may have different specifications.

The design applies the pink color beyond the dial. TAG Heuer’s Official Magazine describes pink highlights on the hands and hour markers, as well as the column wheel and text on the oscillating weight. It also identifies pink accents on components visible through the caseback. These are the brand’s descriptions of the design, not an independent assessment of how the watch looks in person.

Specifications are from TAG Heuer’s official US product page and its November 2024 Monaco Chronograph Pink brochure. The 22 mm lug distance is a measurement, not confirmation that any particular replacement strap will fit. Likewise, the 100 m rating is a published specification, not by itself a recommendation for a specific water activity; consult TAG Heuer’s guidance for intended use.
How the movement and chronograph are specified
The automatic TH20-00 is the movement TAG Heuer names for this reference, with an 80-hour power reserve. The brochure’s alternate naming—Heuer 02 (ref. TH20-00)—refers to the same movement identification in that document, rather than establishing a second caliber for the watch.
The chronograph display includes a one-quarter-second indication, a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour counter. The watch also displays the hours, minutes, seconds and date. TAG Heuer’s product information establishes these functions, but does not provide independent performance-test results for this particular example.

Where the pink details fit into the Monaco design
TAG Heuer dates the Monaco’s first release to 1969 and says the watch became associated with motorsport after appearing on Steve McQueen’s wrist in the 1971 film Le Mans. That history and the description of this pink-accented model as a contemporary interpretation come from the brand’s Official Magazine article. The same article calls the Monaco “a truly game-changing watch”—promotional wording from TAG Heuer, not an independent verdict.
On CBL218B.FT6236, the skeletonized dial gives the movement a visible role in the design, while the pink counters and highlighted components create contrast against the black finish. The manufacturer’s product description and magazine explain the intended color treatment; neither establishes how the finishes, proportions or strap feel on a wearer’s wrist.
