The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph | F1® is reference CBW2190.FC8356, a white-ceramic, 41 mm automatic rattrapante limited by TAG Heuer to 10 pieces. Its defining feature is a split-seconds chronograph that can time two intervals at once. TAG Heuer’s U.S. page lists the price as “Price on demand,” not as a published dollar amount.

What the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph F1 is

TAG Heuer identifies the watch as the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph | F1®, reference CBW2190.FC8356. The U.S. product page describes it as the Maison’s most complex timepiece and states that the edition is limited to 10 pieces. The page is undated; the edition size is TAG Heuer’s stated production limit, not a confirmation that any pieces remain available. TAG Heuer U.S. product page TAG Heuer brochure (2025)

The F1 connection is expressed through the dial as well as the complication. TAG Heuer’s product-page description says the counters draw on starting-grid positions and carry the words “LIGHTS OUT & AWAY WE GO,” attributed to David Croft, Sky Sports F1 lead commentator, as his phrase at the start of every Grand Prix. The page describes the dial as red-tinted and translucent, exposing the movement.

What a split-seconds chronograph does

A split-seconds chronograph, also called a rattrapante, has two chronograph hands. They start together; one hand can be stopped to record an interval while the other continues timing. This lets the wearer compare two elapsed times without ending the running measurement. TAG Heuer’s 2025 brochure describes the function as measuring separate intervals, such as multiple racing laps or concurrent sporting events.

That makes the complication a direct fit for the racing theme: one hand can record a lap or competitor’s time while the other keeps measuring the overall event. The complication is distinct from simply having a standard start-stop chronograph.

Price and availability

TAG Heuer’s U.S. page displays “Price on demand” and directs interested buyers to contact a client advisor. It does not publish a numeric U.S. price. The same page mentions a five-year warranty and complimentary delivery and returns, but it does not establish current stock or a delivery date. With a stated production limit of 10, a live product listing should not be taken as proof that a piece is still available; ask TAG Heuer for a current quote and availability.

Why official descriptions differ on some details

The U.S. product page and the 2025 brochure do not present every specification identically. For movement function and power reserve, the brochure provides the clearer account: it explicitly identifies the split-seconds chronograph and distinguishes the reserve with the chronograph off and on.

  • Dial color: The U.S. page’s technical table labels it “Black & Yellow,” while its narrative describes a red-tinted translucent dial. The brochure also describes a red-tinted translucent dial with white markings. These descriptions do not resolve to one consistent color label, so check current product photography or an updated official specification rather than relying on the technical label alone.
  • Functions: The U.S. technical line lists hours, minutes and seconds, while its narrative discusses the rattrapante. The brochure explicitly lists chronograph and split-seconds functions.
  • Clasp: The U.S. page’s technical wording differs from the brochure’s Grade 5 titanium folding-clasp description; the brochure text also has unclear small-print wording. The U.S. page’s material and push-button details are the more legible specification in the sources cited here.

These differences matter if comparing a listing or regional product page against the brochure: use the reference number to identify the watch, and confirm a disputed detail with TAG Heuer for the relevant market.
