There are two different reasons to consider these watches. The TAG Heuer Monaco Skeleton CBL2182.FT6235 is the direct choice if you want the Monaco name, its documented specifications and an open-worked dial. The Depancel Série-R Chronograph Skeleton is a square, skeleton-dial alternative reported as drawing design inspiration from the Monaco; it is not a TAG Heuer and the available figures do not establish equivalent movement performance or quality.

The Depancel figure was reported for a 100-piece limited run, with release scheduled for October 8, 2026. Since that date has passed, the report alone cannot confirm whether the watch is still available or what it currently costs. Check the maker or an authorized seller for live details before deciding.

How the watches differ in practice
Design and identity
The CBL2182.FT6235 is an actual Monaco with a skeleton dial. TAG Heuer describes the design as a tribute to the original Monaco and its blue dial, reworked with an open-worked display. The Depancel offers a similarly square, motorsport-oriented visual direction, but similarity in shape does not make it an original Monaco or establish that every design detail is the same.
Case dimensions and materials
The TAG Heuer skeleton is 39 mm across in grade 2 titanium. The Depancel report gives a 40 × 36 mm case, so its dimensions are not directly interchangeable with a single-width measurement. Try the watch on if possible: square cases can wear differently from round watches with the same nominal width, and the cited figures do not establish how either watch will fit a particular wrist.

Movement and reserve
TAG Heuer specifies its TH20-00 automatic movement and an 80-hour power reserve for the skeleton Monaco. Gear Patrol identifies the Depancel’s Peacock SL-4802 as an automatic chronograph but does not state a reserve. The missing figure is not evidence that the Depancel’s reserve is poor; it means the available report does not support a reserve comparison.

Water resistance
TAG Heuer lists 100 m for both Monaco references in the cited product information; the Depancel report gives 50 m. Those ratings are specifications, not a guarantee that any used or damaged watch remains water-resistant. For swimming or other water exposure, follow the current maker guidance for the exact reference and ensure the watch is properly maintained.
How to judge the price gap fairly
The cited numbers are not a like-for-like price comparison: TAG Heuer’s skeleton listing is in euros on its Ireland site, while the Depancel figure is a US-dollar price reported for a limited edition. They come from different source contexts and may not reflect current offers, taxes, duties or local availability. The traditional Calibre 11’s Lebanon listing is also regional and based on an older search crawl.

Consider the Calibre 11 as a classic-format reference
The CAW211P.FC6356 is relevant if you want a traditional Monaco baseline rather than the skeleton treatment. Its official listing specifies a 39 mm steel case, Calibre 11 automatic movement, 40-hour reserve and 100 m water resistance. Its regional price listing should not be treated as a current quote outside that market.
