Yes, the $129.99 Galaxy Watch7 deal was real. It referred to Best Buy’s 40mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi version, not the LTE model, and was reported on November 20, 2025. At that price, it was an excellent entry point to Samsung’s Wear OS ecosystem—but the promotion is historical, not a currently verified price.
If the same configuration returns near $129.99, buy it if you have a compatible Android phone, want Samsung Health features, and can live with charging roughly every day or two. Do not wait solely on the assumption that Black Friday will produce a lower price: the exact size and connectivity version could sell out first.

What the $129.99 Galaxy Watch7 deal actually was
Android Central reported that Best Buy was selling the 40mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Galaxy Watch7 for $129.99 on November 20, 2025. The cited regular price was $249.99, making the discount $120, or approximately 48%.

The $129.99 figure should now be treated as a dated deal price. Samsung’s U.S. purchase page listed the Watch7 at $249.99 for 40mm Bluetooth, $279.99 for 44mm Bluetooth, and $299.99 for 40mm LTE during the cited retailer-price check. Those figures do not prove that Best Buy—or any other retailer—has stock today. Read the original deal report and check Samsung’s current Watch7 page separately.

Would waiting for Black Friday have been a mistake?
The warning that the deal “wouldn’t survive to Black Friday” was a forecast, not a guarantee. Clearance pricing on an outgoing smartwatch can disappear quickly because retailers have limited inventory, newer models take its place, and popular colors or case sizes sell first.
Android Central based part of its reasoning on the publication’s experience with the previous Galaxy Watch6: Samsung discounted that older model before Black Friday and reportedly kept the price through Cyber Monday, after which availability became harder to find. That is useful precedent, but it is not a universal Samsung policy and does not prove the Watch7 could not have become cheaper later.
Black Friday retailers can match or beat an early promotion. Samsung may also offer trade-in credits instead of a simple price cut, and remaining stock can sometimes be liquidated aggressively. The important distinction is between three separate possibilities:
Rank #2
- Next-Generation 3nm Processor: Exynos W1000 chipset delivers significantly faster performance and smoother app navigation.
- The price falls further: possible, but never guaranteed.
- The same 40mm Bluetooth model remains available: less certain when a product is being replaced.
- A newer watch offers better overall value: possible if the Watch8 receives a major promotion.
Therefore, $129.99 was a sensible buy-now price for someone who wanted that exact model. The risk was not that no better deal could ever appear; it was that the configuration might disappear before one did.
What you got for $129.99
The Galaxy Watch7 runs Wear OS powered by Samsung and comes in 40mm and 44mm case sizes. The 40mm version has a 1.3-inch display; the 44mm version has a 1.5-inch display. Both offer access to smartwatch apps, notifications, Samsung Health features, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi.

Its sensor package includes optical heart-rate, electrical heart, bioelectrical impedance, gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, geomagnetic, and skin-temperature sensors. The watch is rated for 5ATM water resistance; that is not the same as unlimited waterproofing or permission to use it for diving.
Samsung Health supports functions such as sleep tracking, heart-rate data, Energy Score, and sleep-apnea-related features where the required hardware, software, regional approval, and setup are available. These features provide wellness information and should not be presented as a substitute for medical diagnosis.
Samsung’s specifications for a 44mm LTE variant list a 425mAh battery and claim up to 40 hours with the always-on display disabled. That is a manufacturer test claim, not a guaranteed usage result. Always-on display, GPS, LTE, continuous heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, music, and frequent notifications can reduce battery life considerably.

In practical terms, the Watch7 is a frequent-charging smartwatch. It can suit users comfortable charging daily or every other day, but it is a poor choice if you expect several days of uninterrupted tracking. Charging overnight can also prevent it from recording sleep data.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWho should buy it?
Buy the 40mm Bluetooth Watch7 near $129.99 if all of these statements are true:
- You use an Android phone running Android 11 or later.
- You want Samsung Health and Galaxy-device integration.
- You value Wear OS apps, notifications, GPS, and everyday fitness tracking.
- You prefer a conventional round watch and a compact case.
- You do not need the watch to make calls or use data independently of your phone.
- You accept one- to two-day battery expectations depending on settings and usage.
- The listing is new, sold by a reputable retailer, and covered by a clear return policy and warranty.
Samsung says the Watch7 supports Android 11 or later, but compatibility does not mean every feature works identically on every phone. Samsung warns that some functions have limited support on non-Samsung devices, while features such as Samsung Pay can be restricted to Samsung smartphones. Review Samsung’s compatibility guidance before buying a Watch7 for a Pixel or another non-Galaxy phone.
Who should skip it?
- iPhone owners: verify platform support before purchase; the Watch7 is aimed at Android users.
- Non-Samsung Android owners needing full feature parity: Samsung-specific functions may be unavailable or limited.
- Multi-day battery seekers: this is not the right class of watch for several days per charge.
- Serious endurance athletes: compare dedicated sports watches for long GPS sessions and deeper training analytics.
- Physical-bezel fans: the Watch7 does not provide the traditional rotating bezel experience of a Classic model.
- LTE shoppers: the $129.99 deal was Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. LTE costs more and requires a compatible carrier plan and activation.
- Buyers wanting the newest health features: consider the Watch8 or later instead of buying an older model solely because it is discounted.
- Large-display users: the 40mm screen is compact; choose 44mm if readability and battery capacity matter more than price.
40mm or 44mm?
The 40mm model is the value choice and is generally easier to wear on a smaller wrist. The 44mm model offers a larger display and a larger battery, but it costs more. Case size alone does not determine comfort: band fit, wrist circumference, and whether the sensor stays in contact with the skin also matter, particularly for sleep tracking.
Do not compare a $129.99 40mm Bluetooth deal directly with the normal price of a 44mm LTE model. They are different products with different hardware, connectivity, and ongoing costs.

What about LTE?
LTE lets a compatible Watch7 use cellular connectivity away from the phone, but it is not included in the watch price. You will need a supported carrier, activation, and usually a smartwatch add-on plan. Compare that continuing cost before deciding that a discounted LTE watch is the better deal.
If you mainly want notifications, workouts, sleep tracking, and music controls while your phone is nearby, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi is usually the simpler and cheaper configuration.

Galaxy Watch8
The Watch8 is the more sensible choice for buyers who want newer Samsung hardware, newer-generation health features, and a longer period before the watch feels outdated. Samsung’s March 2026 MSRP list showed $349.99 for 40mm Bluetooth and $379.99 for 44mm Bluetooth, with LTE versions priced higher. It is not a value substitute when the Watch7 is genuinely available near $129.99.

Galaxy Watch8 Classic
Choose the Watch8 Classic if physical bezel controls and a more traditional appearance are priorities. Samsung’s cited MSRP list showed $499.99 for Bluetooth and $549.99 for LTE, placing it in a substantially higher tier than the discounted Watch7.

- Next-Generation 3nm Processor: Exynos W1000 chipset delivers significantly faster performance and smoother app navigation.
Google Pixel Watch
Pixel-phone owners may prefer Google’s software and Fitbit ecosystem. Compare battery life, health features, phone integration, and any subscription requirements rather than choosing solely by purchase price.
OnePlus Watch
OnePlus watches are worth considering if battery life is more important than Samsung Health integration. They are not a direct replacement for the compact Galaxy Watch7, but they may better suit Android users who dislike frequent charging.
How to check a returning $129 deal
- Confirm the product name says Galaxy Watch7 40mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi.
- Check whether the seller is the retailer itself or a marketplace seller.
- Confirm the condition is new, not open-box or refurbished.
- Check color, included accessories, warranty, return period, shipping, and sales tax.
- Make sure the listing does not silently switch to 44mm or LTE.
- Verify your phone and the Samsung Health features you actually need.
- If choosing LTE, calculate activation and monthly carrier costs before checkout.
Verdict
The $129.99 Galaxy Watch7 promotion was real, unusually attractive, and specific to Best Buy’s 40mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model in November 2025. It made sense to buy immediately for the right Android user because the exact clearance configuration could sell out before Black Friday.

But “won’t survive to Black Friday” was never proof that the price could not fall further. If you are reading this after the promotion, do not treat $129.99 as a live price or substitute Samsung’s regular-price listing for the historical deal. Check the retailer directly, and judge any new offer by configuration, condition, battery expectations, phone compatibility, and return terms.
