Casio’s yellow-gold full-metal “CasiOak” is the GM-B2100GD-9AER in Europe and the GMB2100GD-9A in the United States. It is a factory-made GM-B2100 with a gold finish, not simply a gold-colored aftermarket conversion. Casio announced the European model on February 21, 2023, and the U.S. designation in a March 15, 2023 announcement.
What is the yellow-gold full-metal G-SHOCK model number?
The model number depends on the market: Casio Europe identifies it as GM-B2100GD-9AER, while Casio America uses GMB2100GD-9A. The difference is more than cosmetic formatting, so match the suffix to the region when searching a retailer’s listing. [Casio Europe] [Casio America via PR Newswire]
Is the gold CasiOak full metal?
Yes. The yellow-gold release is part of Casio’s GM-B2100 full-metal line, rather than a standard resin-cased 2100 watch with an aftermarket conversion. Casio says the GM-B2100, introduced in August 2022, uses stainless steel for exterior components including the bezel, band and screw-back case. How it fits into the 2100 line

The family includes several finishes that can be easy to confuse in product searches. Casio’s family page lists silver GMB2100D, black ion-plated GMB2100BD and rose-gold ion-plated GMB2100GD variants. The yellow-gold launch model is separately identified in Casio’s announcement as GM-B2100GD-9AER in Europe. Do not assume that a listing is yellow gold simply because its title says “gold” or includes the letters GD; check the full model number, finish description and intended market.
