Longines extended its Flagship Heritage Moonphase line in 2024 with three dial colors: Havana beige, anthracite, and green. The launch added color options to a line that Swatch Group says had already included a moonphase complication since 2023; it was not the complication’s debut in the collection.
What changed in the 2024 release
Longines described the release as three new versions of the Flagship Heritage, each with a moonphase complication. The dials have a sunray finish, and the colors named in the announcement are Havana beige, anthracite, and green. Longines characterized the watches as a tribute to its historic Flagship model, launched in the 1950s. The brand’s media-center page is dated “03/10/2024,” a numeric date that can be read differently by locale, so the safest date to cite is simply 2024. Longines’ announcement and Swatch Group’s 2024 archive entry describe the extension.

The Flagship Heritage family includes other dial variations as well. Longines’ product pages list silver, ivory, blue, green, anthracite, and beige versions. The three colors in the 2024 announcement are therefore additions to an existing collection, not the only available dials.
How the three colors compare
The documented distinction among the launch versions is their dial color and associated strap pairing. Official product information does not establish that one color has different performance, comfort, legibility, or resale prospects from another.

Anthracite reference L4.815.4.52.2: published specifications
Longines lists the anthracite model with a 38.50 mm stainless-steel case and automatic movement. Its headline specifications are:
Rank #2
- Automatic L899 movement, hours, minutes, seconds, moon phase display and date indicated by small hand at 6 o'clock Case, hours, minutes, seconds, and date and moonphase at 6 o'clock Transparent case back with sapphire crystal
- Stainless steel with triple safety folding clasp and push-piece opening mechanism
- 5 Year International Warranty
- Moonphase display and calibre L899.5, identified by Swatch Group for the new watches.
- Movement frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and power reserve of up to 72 hours.
- Monocrystalline silicon balance-spring.
- Water resistance of 3 bar.
- Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
- Super-LumiNova and an alligator strap with buckle.
Longines’ US listing provides the reference-specific details on the anthracite product page. Swatch Group says the silicon balance-spring and other components give the movement magnetic resistance “ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard.” That is the manufacturer group’s comparison; it does not mean the watch is immune to magnetic fields. Swatch Group’s archive entry identifies the calibre and states the comparison.
Design details and the caseback
Longines traces the Flagship to its collections of the late 1950s and presents the Heritage version as a dress-oriented design. A notable detail is the screw-down caseback, which carries a caravel motif: Longines describes it as a hand-painted enamel emblem on an 18-carat gold medallion. This is a shared collection design feature, rather than a documented difference among the three new dial colors. The brand’s anthracite product description details the medallion.

These are snapshots from different markets and different references, not a like-for-like comparison or a current global price list. What to check before choosing a color
- Confirm the exact reference and dial name in your market; color labels and available variations can differ by listing.
- Check the strap material and color on the specific product page rather than inferring them from the dial.
- Compare local prices and availability for the same reference, including applicable taxes.
- Choose among the three colors on appearance and pairing preference: the official material does not document color-specific differences in movement or performance.
