It was made in a 20-watch edition, is now listed by MING as sold out, and is not planned for repeat production.
Why the 37.04 Rose Gold marks a change for MING
The defining shift is material rather than mechanical. MING describes this as its first-ever precious-metal offering, applying solid 18K 5N rose gold to both the case and the dial while retaining the general construction of the 37.04 Titanium. The familiar monopusher chronograph format is therefore presented in a more continuous gold composition, with the dial’s layered surface doing as much visual work as the case.
The reference is not simply a gold-colored version: the underlying case and dial components are rose gold, while the upper dial is sapphire. MING credits Comblemine with producing the guilloché dial and Manufacture Schwarz-Etienne with engineering and final assembly. The brand also names Jean Rousseau and Koji Sato for finishing touches. MING’s official archive documents the materials, construction and specification.
How the gold-and-sapphire dial is made
The dial begins with a single thick piece of solid 18K 5N rose gold. Its guilloché pattern has a deeper, reducing-radius treatment that draws attention toward the chronograph minute subdial. MING says the pattern is CNC-milled because its depth exceeds what traditional rose-engine turning can produce.

Above it sits an etched sapphire upper dial, shaped with a recess for the subdial and filled with HyCeram. The sapphire layer and the exposed gold pattern create the watch’s visual depth without concealing the precious-metal dial beneath. White elements on the dial and crystal use types of Super-LumiNova X1, according to MING.
Case dimensions and wearing details
- Case: 38 mm in diameter and 11.9 mm thick, in solid 18K 5N rose gold.
- Water resistance: 50 m.
- Lug width: 20 mm.
- Crystals: domed sapphire front and back, with double-sided anti-reflective coating.
- Case design: flared, twisted lugs and textured finishing, as described in MING’s archive.
The watch shipped with two 20 mm Jean Rousseau straps fitted with curved quick-release bars and MING tuck buckles. One buckle is solid 18K 5N rose gold; the other is rose-gold-plated steel. The curved bars matter: a strap’s nominal 20 mm width alone does not establish that it will fit this watch. MING lists a two-year warranty against defects.

Monopusher chronograph and movement
The manually wound LJP 5000.M1 is configured for MING as a monopusher chronograph. A single pusher operates the chronograph, which includes a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. The movement uses a lateral clutch and has approximately 38 hours of power reserve at full wind, according to MING’s product specification.
Its skeletonized bridges and plates are coated in 5N rose gold and sandblasted, with hand-polished dome-profile anglage. The movement’s finish echoes the case and dial materials, although the available product information does not establish comparative performance against other chronographs.

Production, availability and launch price
MING says it produced 20 examples and now lists the 37.04 Rose Gold as sold out, with deliveries complete and no repeat production planned. That makes it a discontinued limited edition, not a watch currently offered for purchase from the brand. No current resale inventory or market value is established here.

What the new direction does—and does not—change
The Rose Gold edition changes the 37.04’s expression through precious metal and an unusually deep, layered dial, while retaining its established monopusher chronograph layout. Its significance for MING is clearest as a material milestone: the brand’s first precious-metal watch, limited to 20 pieces. The documented facts support that distinction; they do not establish a broader shift in the brand’s future collection or claims about improved performance or comfort.
