The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix paddock produced a documented watch-price spread from Sergio Pérez’s $400 Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop BLAUE ACHT to Lando Norris’s approximately $430,000 Richard Mille RM 67-02 McLaren Edition. The figures combine an official retail price, secondary-market asking prices and estimates for allocation-only pieces, so they are not a list of confirmed sales.

A report published by Yahoo Sports/Motorsport on October 13, 2026, places team-sponsored chronographs, personal collector watches and celebrity appearances in the same comparison. The result is useful as a snapshot of visibility and market positioning, but each price needs its own qualification.

The Singapore Grand Prix watch list, ranked by quoted price

Unless a row is identified as retail or an estimate, the quoted amount is a secondary-market asking price for a discontinued model. Asking prices show what a dealer is requesting, not what a buyer ultimately paid.

Martin Garrix Richard Mille RM 67-02 Alexis Pinturault Edition $332,000–$339,000 Secondary-market asking range
Lewis Hamilton Richard Mille RM 07-01 in rose gold with snow-set diamonds Approximately $350,000 Approximate quoted value
Lando Norris Richard Mille RM 67-02 McLaren Edition Approximately $430,000 Estimate; allocation-only edition, not a confirmed public sale

The top of the list is therefore not a normal retail comparison. The Norris and Leclerc numbers are rough estimates because those editions are not sold to the general public, while many other whole-number figures reflect dealer asking rates for discontinued watches.

“Prices listed as whole numbers reflect the asking rates from secondary market dealers for discontinued models no longer available through their official sellers.”

What Lando Norris’s $430,000 figure actually means

Norris’s Richard Mille RM 67-02 McLaren Edition is the highest quoted watch in the report, at approximately $430,000. That amount is an estimate rather than a documented transaction. The model is an allocation-only edition and is not offered through a normal public retail channel, so there is no public shelf price to verify against a completed sale.

The cheapest watch: a $400 mechanical pocket watch

The entry point is Pérez’s Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop BLAUE ACHT, listed at its original $400 retail price. Swatch identifies BLAUE ACHT as model SSX03L101N. It is a Bioceramic mechanical pocket watch with a 40 mm case, sapphire crystal, 2-bar water resistance and a hand-wound SISTEM51 movement.

That policy and store-level availability matter: the $400 figure is an official original retail price, not a guarantee that every location still has stock.

Why the prices diverge so sharply

Team partnerships

The IWC Pilot’s Chronographs worn by Antonelli and Russell sit near the accessible middle of the list because they are recognizable team-linked watches rather than ultra-rare precious-metal Richard Mille editions. Sponsor relationships can make a watch highly visible without making it the rarest or most expensive object in the paddock.

Personal collecting and celebrity visibility

The list also includes musicians, actors, athletes and executives. Pieces such as the Rolex Daytona “Panda,” the vintage yellow-gold Audemars Piguet Bamboo and the diamond-set Patek Philippe Nautilus reflect personal collecting and public visibility as much as Formula 1 affiliation.

Materials, scarcity and edition status

At the upper end, Richard Mille models dominate because limited editions combine lightweight technical construction, precious metals or gemstones, and restricted distribution. The RM 67-02 editions associated with Barshim, Leclerc, Pinturault and McLaren are not interchangeable: edition identity, supply and provenance all affect the quoted value.

How to compare any of these watches responsibly

  1. Identify the price basis. Separate an original retail price from a dealer’s resale asking price and from an estimate.
  2. Check availability. Confirm whether the model is publicly sold, discontinued, limited, or allocation-only.
  3. Verify provenance. Request serial information, purchase history, service records, box and papers, and an independent authentication opinion where appropriate.
  4. Assess condition. Case polishing, dial and bezel condition, movement service and included accessories can change the market value.
  5. Compare like with like. A celebrity sighting does not prove ownership, a sale price or a permanent market premium.
