This comparison focuses on three newer expressions—Glade, Après-Bleu and Dawn Til Dusk MK II—and separates what Earthen says about their visible design from what it has not disclosed about the material’s composition or production.
What “three new hues” means here
Earthen’s FAQ names Blue Bird, Whiteout and Overcast as Summit MK II options, while its current collection and product listings also show Glade, Après-Bleu and Dawn Til Dusk MK II. This article compares those latter three; they are not the only Summit variants. The names and line-up can change, so check Earthen’s current Summit collection for availability.
The word “science” needs a boundary. Earthen describes ceramic’s role in its design philosophy and presents the colors, finishes and lume on individual product pages. Those pages do not identify the ceramic composition, pigments or other colorants, forming method, firing or sintering conditions, or a distinct recipe for each hue. The visible result is documented; the underlying color-making process is not.
How the three designs differ
The comparison below is about the visible product design, not the hidden chemistry of the ceramic body. Daylight and low-light descriptions follow Earthen’s product pages; strap details also reflect those listings.

These descriptions come from Earthen’s listings for Glade, Après-Bleu and Dawn Til Dusk MK II. They show why a case color alone does not define a variant: dial tone, lume, surface treatment and strap colors all contribute to the overall effect.
What the brand says about ceramic—and what remains unknown
Earthen says: “At Earthen Co., we opt for ceramic due to its durability and its ability to capture the essence of our design philosophy — where precision meets purpose and innovation ensures longevity.” That is the company’s stated design rationale, not an independent materials test. Its brand page also describes ceramic as lightweight and scratch-resistant, and its FAQ calls it color-stable. The reviewed public pages do not provide a quantitative durability comparison or independent testing to substantiate those qualities as measured results.

Nor do the pages explain how any Summit hue is made. They do not publish a ceramic formulation, identify a colorant, or give processing temperatures. It would therefore be speculation to attribute Glade’s green, Après-Bleu’s blue or the white cases to a particular pigment or manufacturing method. Earthen’s product pages document the colors and surface effects as presented, not the technical recipe behind them. Read the brand’s design philosophy for its stated material rationale.
Specifications and fit shared across the comparison
Earthen’s FAQ and the three product listings reviewed in 2026 give the Summit MK II a 38mm case diameter, 45mm lug-to-lug length, 10mm overall thickness including glass (8.8mm without glass), and 20mm lug width. They list a Miyota 9039 automatic movement, approximately 42 hours of power reserve and 100m/10ATM water resistance. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test findings; see the Earthen FAQ and the relevant variant page for details.

The listed 20mm lug width makes a 20mm watch strap a plausible replacement or alternate-accessory search. It does not by itself establish strap attachment compatibility: check the attachment style and the exact watch before ordering. Included straps vary by model, as the individual listings show.
