Function and everyday ownership
The bezel’s stated 120-click, unidirectional operation follows a familiar dive-watch format: a wearer can align it to track elapsed time. The listing establishes the stated design, not the bezel’s accuracy, feel or reliability in use. Fratello’s partner-content article also highlights bracelet adjustment by removable micro-milled screws and a fold-over locking safety clasp. Those details suggest attention to adjustability and closure design, but the article does not constitute hands-on testing.
Quartz as part of the appeal
The Regatta 842 uses a Ronda 515 quartz movement. That makes it distinct from automatic dive watches, which draw much of their enthusiast appeal from mechanical construction and winding rotors. What the 20 ATM rating does—and does not—tell you
Stührling states 20 ATM water resistance. A pressure rating is not, by itself, proof that a watch meets the broader requirements of ISO 6425, the voluntary standard for diver’s watches. A specialist overview describes ISO 6425 as addressing requirements beyond a depth rating. What the enthusiast commentary can—and cannot—show
Fratello’s 2017 partner-content piece offers a useful snapshot of how the brand presented the model, not a survey of collectors or an independent review. It quotes Stührling founder Henry Fischer: “Dive watches are like the minivan of the watch industry— once you decide you’re producing them, you find you only have so much creative latitude given the level of functionality expected,” Fischer explained.
