Which three references were introduced?
The official Blancpain launch page names these three models in its ceramic “Beyond Black” range:
- 5000 0153 01S: green-dial Bathyscaphe with date, shown on a ceramic bracelet.
- 5000A 0140 NAOA: blue-dial Bathyscaphe with date, shown on a NATO strap.
- 5200 0140 O52A: blue-dial Bathyscaphe Chronographe Flyback, shown on a sailcloth strap.
These references identify the specific 2024 trio, not every ceramic Bathyscaphe. The broader family also includes complete-calendar watches and other dial and strap combinations. See Blancpain’s official launch page.
How do their cases and dials compare?
Fratello reports a shared 43.6 mm diameter, black ceramic construction, and 300 m water-resistance rating. The two time-and-date models are 13.83 mm thick; the flyback chronograph is 15.25 mm thick.

The three-hand models have gradient sunburst dials, applied black indexes filled with Super-LumiNova, and a date display at 4:30. The chronograph’s blue dial adds recessed subdials for elapsed time and small seconds. The extra thickness and subdials reflect a different complication, rather than a separate case-size category.
What movements and functions do they offer?
Time and date: caliber 1315
Both three-hand references use Blancpain caliber 1315. Blancpain describes its three series-coupled barrels and five-day power reserve; Fratello reports the movement at 28,800 vibrations per hour and gives the reserve as 120 hours. Those reserve figures express the same five-day duration.

Flyback chronograph: caliber F385
The 5200 0140 O52A uses caliber F385. Blancpain specifies a column wheel, vertical clutch, 5 Hz frequency, and 50-hour power reserve. Its flyback function lets the wearer reset the chronograph and start a new timing interval with one press; Fratello reports measurement to one tenth of a second.
What were the reported launch-era prices?
Fratello’s December 2, 2024 review reported the following prices. These are launch-era figures, not current quotes; the source reports strap and bracelet configurations, rather than a separate price for every strap material.

Which one best fits your priorities?
- Choose by complication: either 5000 reference gives you time and date; the 5200 adds flyback chronograph timing.
- Choose by dial and presentation: the 5000 0153 01S is the green option shown on a ceramic bracelet, the 5000A 0140 NAOA is blue on NATO, and the 5200 0140 O52A is blue on sailcloth. The wider collection has other strap and bracelet choices.
- Consider thickness: the chronograph is 1.42 mm thicker than the time-and-date models. Whether that difference affects fit depends on the wearer and wrist.
