Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf recreational scuba diving is the priority, the Timex Deepwater Arctic 200 TW3A02000 is the better-supported choice: Timex lists 200m water resistance, a screw-down crown and screw-on case back, and explicitly calls this reference suitable for recreational scuba diving. For swimming, snorkeling, surfing or a dive-inspired everyday watch, a Harborside Coast may fit—but the family includes different references, and Timex specifically says the 100m Harborside Coast Multifunction TW2Y33300 is not suitable for scuba diving.
This comparison focuses on that Multifunction model and the 44mm Harborside Coast TW2Y05300. Their specifications are not interchangeable with every watch sold under the Harborside name.

Timex Deepwater Arctic 200 vs. Harborside: the key difference
The distinction is not simply 200m versus 100m. Timex’s stated intended use differs by exact reference: it describes the Deepwater Arctic 200 TW3A02000 as suitable for recreational scuba diving, while it warns that the Harborside Coast Multifunction TW2Y33300 is not suitable for scuba diving. A water-resistance number alone does not establish a safe operating depth or override the manufacturer’s use guidance.
The other Harborside reference considered here, the 44mm Harborside Coast TW2Y05300, has a 100m rating. Check its current product page for the intended-use wording before relying on it for a particular water activity.

Which model suits your water use?
For recreational scuba diving: Deepwater Arctic 200 TW3A02000
Timex states that this exact Deepwater reference is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, surfing and recreational scuba diving. Its listing also specifies a screw-down crown and screw-on case back, alongside the 200m rating. Timex’s description is the relevant basis for the scuba recommendation; the rating should not be interpreted as a guaranteed safe depth.

For swimming, snorkeling or surfing: check the exact Harborside reference
Harborside is a collection name, not one fixed specification. The 44mm TW2Y05300 is a rubber-strap, 100m quartz model with a low-lead-brass case. The 43mm TW2Y33300 is a stainless-steel bracelet model with a 100m rating, but Timex explicitly says it is not suitable for scuba diving. Do not transfer one reference’s water-use guidance to another; consult the page for the exact watch you are considering.

That depends on what “dive watch” means in the question. Harborside Coast models can have a 100m water-resistance rating and a dive-inspired look, but the TW2Y33300 is explicitly not suitable for scuba diving according to Timex. The available information does not support a family-wide claim that Harborside models are scuba watches. For a scuba-capable option among these references, Timex’s explicit guidance supports the Deepwater Arctic 200 TW3A02000.

How size, materials and crystal affect the choice
Case dimensions and wrist fit
The Deepwater is the smallest by stated diameter at 40.5mm. The Harborside Coast models are 44mm and 43mm, respectively. Lug-to-lug length is stated for the Deepwater (47mm) and the Multifunction (51mm), but not for the TW2Y05300. These numbers can help with an initial size comparison, but they cannot establish comfort: case shape, lug geometry, strap fit and wrist circumference also matter. No hands-on fit testing is available here.
Case material and crystal
The Deepwater TW3A02000 and Harborside Multifunction TW2Y33300 both list stainless-steel cases, while the 44mm TW2Y05300 lists a low-lead-brass case. The Deepwater lists a sapphire crystal; both cited Harborside references list mineral crystals. These are specifications, not a complete assessment of durability in everyday use.

- Sapphire lens

Strap or bracelet
The Deepwater’s listed HNBR synthetic rubber strap and the TW2Y05300’s synthetic rubber strap offer a different wearing style from the TW2Y33300’s stainless-steel bracelet. Choose based on preference and intended wear, but do not assume a bracelet sold for another Deepwater reference fits the TW3A02000: compatibility is not established by the cited specifications.

Which Timex dive watch is better?
For recreational scuba, the Deepwater Arctic 200 TW3A02000 is the clear choice among the references compared because Timex expressly describes it as suitable for that activity. For a larger rubber-strap look, the TW2Y05300 Harborside Coast is a distinct 44mm, 100m option, but verify the current listing’s water-use wording. For a stainless-steel bracelet, the TW2Y33300 offers that format, with Timex’s explicit warning that it is not suitable for scuba diving.
