Which design suits your style?
Choose Hailey for a subtle, all-house reference
The 24 mm rectangular Hailey is the smallest case in the collection. Its cream dial has vertical brushing and four crystal markers representing Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, paired with a gold-tone case and brown leather strap embossed with a Hogwarts “H.” Timex calls it a more understated design: the house colors appear together rather than making one house the focal point. The launch article also specifies quick-release spring bars. Timex’s EU product page lists quartz analog movement and showed the model out of stock when reviewed; regional stock can change. Choose a house Weekender to foreground one house
The four 38 mm Weekenders make one house the design focus. Timex’s April 28, 2026 launch article lists the house models at $139 each in the US: Gryffindor TW2Y76300, Hufflepuff TW2Y76600, Ravenclaw TW2Y76500, and Slytherin TW2Y76400. This is the clearest route if you want a round Weekender and a direct allegiance to one house rather than a shared Hogwarts motif.
Choose a story-themed Weekender for a specific reference
These three round models center their designs on recognizable details beyond house colors. Platform 9 3/4 is 37 mm and was listed at $169; Sorting Hat is 37 mm and Butterbeer is 40 mm, each listed at $179 in the US catalog snapshot. Timex says the Platform 9 3/4 watch has a customized second hand, while the other two use second hands themed to the Sorting Hat and Butterbeer. The EU Sorting Hat product page identifies quartz analog movement and a Hogwarts dial illustration. Its written descriptions conflict on the dial color, so check current product imagery rather than relying on a color description.

Choose Waterbury for the visible mechanics
The 39 mm Waterbury Skeleton Automatic is the collection’s movement-led option. Timex specifies a 21-jewel skeletonized automatic movement and up to 40 hours of stored energy when worn. Timex says to wind it by the crown until resistance if it has been motionless for longer than 40 hours. Its described details include a crocodile-grain brown leather strap, quick-release spring bars, and a deployant clasp. These specifications distinguish it from the quartz models documented in the cited Hailey and Sorting Hat product pages; they do not establish that the automatic is more accurate or durable.
How case size and movement change the choice
Case diameter offers a useful first filter, but it does not by itself determine how a watch will sit on your wrist: shape, lug-to-lug length, and strap fit also matter. The collection spans the 24 mm rectangular Hailey and round watches from 37 to 40 mm. The 37 mm models are Platform 9 3/4 and Sorting Hat; house Weekenders are 38 mm; Waterbury is 39 mm; Butterbeer is 40 mm. The official sources cited here do not establish lug-to-lug measurements for the full range, so diameter alone cannot predict fit.

Movement choice is simpler where Timex documents it. The Waterbury is automatic, using motion when worn and potentially needing winding after sitting still beyond its stated reserve. Timex identifies the Hailey and Sorting Hat as quartz analog. Do not assume the same movement specification for every other model unless the exact product listing confirms it.
