A deliberately simplified layout
Earlier Noah x Timex oval watches used more conspicuous nautical or astronomical elements, including a lighthouse and a moon-phase display. The Boatswain removes those complications and keeps only the rope-like minute track, Roman numerals and pencil hands. The result is easier to read and more versatile with everyday clothing.

How it differs from the earlier oval collaborations
The case retains the elongated, low-key silhouette associated with the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse, but the Boatswain is less ornate than its predecessors.
