What is the Timex x seconde/seconde/ #IYKYK collaboration?
It is a series of Timex watches designed with French creative Romaric André, who works under the name seconde/seconde/. Timex says the collaboration began in 2023, initially involving Q Timex and M79 Automatic models. The design idea is to translate familiar watch-collector references into a visible detail on the watch, often a custom seconds hand that nods to bezel color variations.
The title’s “IYKYK” means “if you know, you know”: the joke is aimed at people who recognize the watch-world reference. The specific reference varies by edition, so the label alone does not explain a particular hand or dial.
Which edition are you looking at?
There is no single specification or visual gag shared by every #IYKYK watch. Identify the reference number and release before comparing its movement, crystal, display, or original price.

Timex’s 2025 article presents the collaboration as a continuation and names references TW2Y48100 and TW2Y48200, describing the latter as the 38 mm blue version. André is quoted there saying, “Every good series deserves a prequel and a sequel.” Timex, July 29, 2025.
What are the TW2Y48200 specifications?
The following figures come from the official Timex Japan listing for reference TW2Y48200, accessed in 2026. They should not be generalized to other #IYKYK editions or regional variants.

Crystal descriptions differ across official pages: the Japan listing for TW2Y48200 says mineral glass, while Timex’s US collaboration description calls out a domed acrylic crystal for the Q Timex design. These descriptions should not be combined as though they establish one specification for every regional version. Check the exact reference and market listing before buying.
Where is it listed, and what does it cost?
Availability and price depend on region and time. When accessed in 2026, Timex Japan listed TW2Y48200 at ¥39,600 including tax, with a one-year warranty and free shipping displayed on that page. The US Timex product page showed the watch out of stock and rendered CHF 255 in its accessed currency context; that is not a US-dollar price. Neither snapshot guarantees present stock or pricing.
