How TITONI’s 1919 beginnings connect to the T10
Fritz Schluep founded the Felca company in 1919. As the business expanded into Asia, it began making watches under the TITONI name, according to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry’s 2019 centenary report. The federation described TITONI as one of the Swiss watch businesses that had maintained its independence. TITONI also characterizes itself as an independent, family-owned company and says its watches are manufactured in Grenchen, Switzerland, on its Manufacture since 1919 page.
The company developed the T10 for its 100th anniversary and introduced it in the LINE 1919 collection. That collection makes the centenary link tangible: it was an initial home for the movement, rather than just a name associated with the anniversary.
Is the TITONI T10 an in-house movement?
Yes, with an important sourcing distinction. TITONI says its in-house technical and production team engineered the T10, calling it the brand’s first self-developed and manufactured caliber. It also says specialized suppliers in the Grenchen area make the movement’s 168 individual components. Thus “in-house” describes TITONI’s movement development and production role, not the fabrication of every part within its own premises.

This distinction does not diminish the T10’s significance as a company-developed caliber; it clarifies how its manufacture is organized. The company’s account of its watchmaking and its current T10 movement page provide its descriptions of the process and specifications.

Specifications can be expressed differently at movement and watch-reference level. For a LINE 1919 model, TITONI gives an approximate three-day reserve and a range of about 68–75 hours in its LINE 1919 product specification. Treat that range as the stated figure for that product specification; the movement page’s 72 hours is the nominal T10 figure.

TITONI says a COSC-certified chronometer version of the T10 has been available since November 2020. Certification is not a blanket attribute of every T10 movement: it depends on the particular watch reference. The company identifies the Seascoper 600 as one example using a T10 chronometer; its Seascoper product specification describes a specific model. Check the exact reference’s specifications rather than inferring certification from the T10 name alone.
