The traser P68 Pathfinder Solar 111392 pairs a solar-powered movement with a compass ring and trigalight illumination. Its headline charging figures come with specific lighting assumptions: traser’s movement manual estimates two minutes in sunny outdoor conditions for one day of charge, but lists 4.4 hours under indoor lighting for the same amount. The watch is specified with a 46 mm case, 24 mm band width and 10 bar water resistance; those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

What the P68 Pathfinder Solar 111392 offers

The US product listing describes a Swiss solar movement with an integrated solar cell, a PVD-coated stainless-steel case, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, a NATO strap and a compass ring operated by its own crown. The listed case diameter is 46 mm, band width 24 mm, and water-resistance rating 10 bar (10 atm). These details are traser’s specifications; the available product material does not establish independent testing of the watch’s water resistance. traser US product listing.

At 46 mm, the case is a substantial size, so wrist fit is worth checking in person or against a watch you already wear. The 24 mm band width and supplied NATO strap make a replacement 24 mm NATO strap a plausible option, but width alone does not confirm that every strap’s construction or hardware will clear and fit this case.

How much light does it need, and how long does a charge last?

The movement manual estimates approximately eight months of running time after a full charge. That reserve is not a promise that a particular wear or storage routine will produce the same result: charging depends on the light reaching the solar cell.

The manual’s charging table estimates the following under its stated conditions. The table assumes 30% light transmission through the dial:

Charging condition in the manual Estimated exposure for one day of charge Estimated time to full charge from empty
Sunny outdoor conditions 2 minutes 7 hours
Indoor lighting 4.4 hours 40 days

These are manual estimates, not universal guarantees for every light source, angle, season or setting. The product page’s “2 Minutes of Sun – 24 Hours of Adventure” is marketing shorthand; the manual’s sunny-outdoor condition and dial-transmission assumption are important context. traser P68 Pathfinder Solar Movement Manual.

According to the same manual, an empty watch should start within a few minutes after exposure to sunlight. It also describes low-charge protection that stops the movement to help prevent deep discharge, overcharge protection, and an energy-saving stem position that reduces power consumption by about 70%.

How to care for it during storage or service

For a watch that will be left unworn for an extended period, the manual recommends leaving it openly in a bright room so it can remain charged. It states: “Avoid storing the solar watch with an empty battery for long periods in the dark.”

If the rechargeable cell needs replacement, the manual specifies a RONDA-approved rechargeable battery and replacement by an authorized traser dealer. It does not give a universal service price or turnaround time, so ask the dealer for a quote and availability before arranging work.

Does the compass ring work?

The product listing identifies an adjustable compass ring operated by a dedicated crown, but the official material cited here does not provide an independent accuracy test or a quantified compass tolerance. Treat the ring as a navigation aid rather than a substitute for a map, a properly oriented compass or location-specific safety planning. For serious navigation, check your bearing against a reliable compass and follow its instructions; the existence of a compass ring alone does not establish its accuracy.

When checked, the US product listing displayed USD 800 and the Swiss localized listing displayed CHF 595 for reference 111392. Confirm the reference, seller, current regional price, warranty coverage, return terms and shipping region with the seller before buying. When comparing the Pathfinder Solar with another outdoor watch, compare case fit, solar reserve and charging conditions, darkness legibility and illumination behavior, compass usability and documented accuracy, water-resistance rating and stated use, strap width, service access and the current price in your region. The available official product information does not establish comparative performance against other watches.
