Both use the Manufacture Calibre MT5652, but their size, materials and bezels give them different GMT functions: the 39 mm all-steel Pro tracks two time zones, while the 41 mm steel-and-yellow-gold S&G can display a third.
What is the difference between the Black Bay Pro and Black Bay GMT S&G?
The main practical difference is the bezel. The Pro has a fixed, graduated steel 24-hour bezel; its yellow 24-hour hand shows reference time while a jumping local-hour hand can be adjusted independently. The S&G has a bidirectional rotating 24-hour bezel, which can be used with its 24-hour hand to read an additional time zone. It is also larger and combines steel with yellow gold.

These launch specifications are from TUDOR’s Black Bay Pro press kit and Black Bay GMT S&G press kit. The different bezel designs also change the appearance: the Pro keeps a straightforward all-steel look, while the S&G’s gold-tone bezel and two-color insert make its travel-time display more prominent.
How many time zones can each watch track?
Black Bay Pro: two zones
The Pro’s yellow 24-hour “Snowflake” hand points to reference time on the fixed bezel. The shorter local-hour hand jumps in one-hour increments, so the wearer can change local time without moving the reference hand. The date follows the local hour. Because its bezel does not rotate, the Pro’s layout is for two zones rather than adding a third through bezel adjustment.

Black Bay GMT S&G: up to three zones
On the S&G, set local time with the jumping hour hand and use the 24-hour hand to read reference time. Rotating the bezel shifts the 24-hour scale relative to that hand, allowing it to indicate another zone. That extra reading is the practical advantage of the rotating bezel; the Pro’s fixed bezel cannot perform the same function.
How big is the Black Bay Pro?
The Black Bay Pro has a 39 mm stainless-steel case. The Black Bay GMT S&G measures 41 mm across and uses steel with yellow-gold bezel and crown elements. These figures describe case diameter; they do not by themselves establish how either watch will fit a particular wrist.
What does S&G mean on the Black Bay GMT?
S&G means steel and gold. On the Black Bay GMT S&G, the case is steel, while yellow gold is used for the bezel and crown elements. Its black dial sits beneath a sapphire crystal, and its bezel has a matte brown-and-black anodised 24-hour disc, according to TUDOR’s launch press kit.
Movement, straps and bracelet details
Both 2022 launch press kits specify the self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5652, COSC certification, a silicon balance spring and approximately 70 hours of power reserve. The listed strap and bracelet choices differed:

The Pro’s steel-bracelet version has a T-fit clasp with five tool-free adjustment positions and up to 8 mm of adjustment, as described in TUDOR’s launch press kit. This clasp detail applies to that bracelet configuration, not every strap option.

On the TUDOR collection page’s U.S. presentation, accessed October 8, 2026, Black Bay GMT S&G black-dial options were listed at $5,825 and a steel-and-yellow-gold bracelet variant at $8,125. These are current U.S.-localized displayed prices, not launch prices or prices for other markets. TUDOR says its watches are sold only through official TUDOR retailers. The current collection listing is at TUDOR’s Black Bay GMT page; it does not establish a current Black Bay Pro price or availability.
The launch kits also described a five-year transferable guarantee without registration or periodic maintenance checks. That is launch-era policy wording; check the current official terms for the purchase market rather than assuming those conditions still apply everywhere.
