The Tutima M2 Seven Seas S is a stainless-steel automatic dive-watch family, not one single configuration. Before comparing its size, movement reserve, strap or price, identify the reference: the lineup includes 40 mm and 44 mm models, with details that vary by version. Here are five practical takeaways for evaluating the watch without treating one variant’s specifications as universal.
1. “Seven Seas S” does not identify one exact watch
Tutima Japan’s current collection lists multiple Seven Seas S references in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, with strap and steel-bracelet configurations. Dial, bezel, case size and other details depend on the reference. A meaningful review or buying comparison should name the reference number and configuration rather than relying on the family name alone. Tutima Japan’s collection page is the source for its listed lineup.
This distinction also matters when comparing the S with the original M2 Seven Seas. Tutima’s older catalogue describes that original model as titanium, with a 3 mm sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and caseback, and a one-way bezel. Those details should not be carried over wholesale to the stainless-steel Seven Seas S. Tutima Japan’s current collection lists the S separately.
2. Case diameter is only part of the fit picture
Tutima Japan’s 2025 model page specifies a 40 mm case and a 2.5 mm anti-reflective sapphire crystal for the model it describes; it does not provide a lug-to-lug measurement in the accessible page text. The manufacturer’s model page therefore helps establish diameter and crystal thickness, but not the full footprint across the wrist.

#1 Best Overall
- Stainless Steel case with Black Resin Band
- Black Dial with date window at 3 O'clock
- Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
- Anti-reverse bezel
- Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)
Dive into Watches reported a 12.5 mm case height for the 40 mm versions covered in its 22 February 2024 article. That is a dated specification for those models, not proof that every Seven Seas S reference has the same height. Its 2024 coverage also places the date at 6 o’clock on the versions discussed. Neither published dimension alone establishes how a watch will feel on a particular wrist; try the exact reference if fit is decisive.
3. Cal. 330’s stated reserve depends on the reference
The family uses Tutima’s automatic Cal. 330, but the collection does not assign one power-reserve figure to every Seven Seas S. The current Japan listings show 38 hours for older 40 mm entries, 41 hours for newer bracelet references, and 38 hours for listed 44 mm entries. Check the specification for the exact reference rather than assuming the reserve from the family name. Tutima Japan’s collection listing is the source for these variant-specific figures.

4. The 500 m rating is a manufacturer specification
Tutima specifies 50 bar, or 500 m, water resistance for the Seven Seas S. That is the maker’s stated rating, not an independent pressure-test result for a particular watch or evidence of a personal dive test. The 2025 Japan model page and the current collection listing give the specification.
Other details on the 2025 page likewise apply to the model it describes: a date display, luminous hands and bezel, and FKM rubber strap variants in black, white and adventure-green dial options. Confirm the exact reference and included configuration before treating any of these as features of every watch in the family. Tutima Japan’s model page provides those manufacturer details.

5. Compare configurations and prices within the same market
Choosing between strap and bracelet, 40 mm and 44 mm, and available dial and bezel combinations is a real configuration decision, not a choice with a universal winner. Comfort and preference are personal, and the published specifications do not establish how either option wears.
Tutima Japan’s collection page, accessed in 2026, lists ¥302,500 for certain strap references and ¥379,500 for certain bracelet references. These are Japanese listed prices for specific configurations; they are not a universal price for the range or a claim about pricing in other countries. Check the collection page for the particular reference and regional listing.

That span reflects the European market context and models discussed at that time, not current pricing worldwide. The original 2024 report gives that dated comparison.

What to verify before buying or reviewing one
- Find the exact reference number and confirm whether it is the 40 mm or 44 mm version.
- Check whether the listing is for a rubber strap or steel bracelet and verify the dial and bezel configuration.
- Look up the reserve and other specifications for that reference, rather than borrowing figures from another Seven Seas S.
- Compare the price with listings for the same reference, configuration and market.
- For fit, assess the complete case dimensions on the wrist; diameter alone does not establish how it will wear.
