Breitling’s Red Arrows pair comprises two distinct Avenger models, but only one is explicitly a 60th-anniversary limited edition. The stainless-steel Avenger Automatic 42 Red Arrows is limited to 360 pieces; the larger Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission Red Arrows is a UK-exclusive tribute with no production limit stated on Breitling’s product page. Their movements, functions, materials and UK-listed prices also differ.

Which model is the 60th-anniversary limited edition?
The Avenger Automatic 42 is the one Breitling identifies as limited to 360 pieces for the Red Arrows’ 60th anniversary. Its blue dial carries RAF insignia, while the special caseback engraving marks the 60th Diamond Season. The 44 mm chronograph shares the Red Arrows connection, but its status is different: Breitling describes it as a country-exclusive edition and does not state a production number on its product page. Fratello’s launch coverage calls the chronograph non-limited. Breitling’s official video, published 7 June 2024, presents the pair as UK editions in the anniversary context: Breitling | Avenger Red Arrows – UK Edition.

Avenger Automatic 42: simpler and more compact
The 42 mm model is the more compact option and provides automatic time-and-date functionality rather than a chronograph. Its stainless-steel case is 12.15 mm thick. Breitling 17 has an approximately 38-hour power reserve. The RAF insignia and engraved anniversary caseback make the commemorative details visible in different ways: one on the dial, the other on the back.

Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission: larger and more feature-rich
The 44 mm chronograph adds stopwatch functionality and uses Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, with an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Its black ceramic case is 15.2 mm thick, and the design pairs titanium hardware with a blue calfskin strap. The Diamond Nine logo is the dial’s Red Arrows reference.
Both official UK product pages state 300 m / 30 bar water resistance. That shared rating does not make the models interchangeable: the chronograph is larger and thicker, and the case materials, movement, functions and straps differ.

What the UK price difference means
Breitling’s cited UK listings put the Automatic 42 at GBP 3,950 and the B01 Chronograph 44 at GBP 8,100. The chronograph is therefore listed GBP 4,150 higher in the UK. That is a comparison of the listed prices on those two UK product pages, not a global price comparison; prices, stock and availability can change by date and market.

For the explicitly numbered anniversary release, the relevant model is the 360-piece Avenger Automatic 42 Red Arrows. The Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission Red Arrows is the larger, ceramic-cased chronograph and a UK-exclusive tribute, but the cited manufacturer page does not give it a production limit. Breitling’s official pages and launch video are the basis for the model details and anniversary framing; Fratello provides the non-limited characterization for the chronograph.
