The Ulysse Nardin Blast Amoureuxpeintre, reference 3713-260LE-9A-SEVER/0A, is a 42 mm limited-edition watch that filters the Blast’s mechanical spectacle through frosted sapphire and a monochromatic gray palette. Its hand-wound UN-371 movement is partly veiled rather than displayed as an entirely open skeleton. Ulysse Nardin made 29 pieces; the brand now says the edition is no longer available directly.
What makes the Amoureuxpeintre different?
Many Blast designs make the movement a prominent part of the dial’s visual drama. The Amoureuxpeintre takes a quieter approach: frosted sapphire on the front and back softens the view of the mechanics, while gray tones unify the case, display, and strap. The result is still recognizably a skeleton watch, but one that reveals its construction with restraint instead of exposing every detail at once.
Ulysse Nardin frames the collaboration as an invitation to look beyond the surface. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie similarly describes a cool gray palette and blurred transparencies. Ulysse Nardin says Amoureuxpeintre works across furniture, album art direction, and accessories, and favors monochromatic palettes and clean, understated forms. The manufacturer’s Chief Product Officer, Jean-Christophe Sabatier, called the partnership a collaboration that “pushes the limits in terms of design.”
Movement and display
The watch uses Ulysse Nardin’s hand-wound UN-371 manufacture movement, with hours and minutes as its stated functions. According to the manufacturer, it contains 173 parts and 21 jewels, runs at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), and provides a 96-hour power reserve. Its escapement is silicon. Fratello notes that the display has no running-seconds indication.

Manual winding is part of the experience: there is no automatic winding system, and the movement’s architecture remains visible through the softened sapphire. The long stated reserve means the watch can run for up to four days when fully wound under the maker’s specification; it does not establish a measured real-world result.

The 50 m water-resistance figure is a published specification, not evidence of an independent water-resistance test. The available descriptions also use different terms for the strap material, so “gray” is the consistent detail across sources.

Edition size, availability, and price
The run was limited to 29 pieces. Ulysse Nardin’s current product page says, “This piece has found its collectors and is no longer available.” That describes direct availability from the brand; it does not mean every example has disappeared from the secondary market. Current resale listings and prices have not been established here.
Launch coverage gives two region- and source-specific price references. Fratello reported €33,100 including VAT in its January 26, 2025 article. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie lists an indicated price of CHF 31,000. These are launch-context figures, not current resale quotes or a universal price; the sources report them in different currencies and contexts.

The Blast name covers multiple families and variants, so comparisons are most useful when made watch by watch rather than by collection label alone. For this collaboration, the clearest distinction is the softened view through frosted sapphire and the coordinated gray presentation. When comparing another Blast, check the case size and material, how much of the movement is visible, the complications and display, water resistance, winding type and reserve, edition size, and whether the specific reference remains available from the brand.
