Which Égérie should you choose?
Choose by the display you want and the listed case dimensions. The date reference is 2 mm smaller and 0.91 mm thinner; the Moon Phase replaces the date with a moon-phase indication. Both use automatic movements rated by Vacheron Constantin for a 40-hour power reserve and 4 Hz frequency.
- Choose the date model if you prefer the smaller listed case and want a conventional date display.
- Choose the Moon Phase if the moon-phase display is the complication you want and the larger case suits your preference.
Those dimensions do not establish how either watch will feel on a particular wrist. Comfort, legibility in different lighting, timekeeping performance, and personal preference cannot be determined from specifications alone.

What changes between the date and moon-phase displays?
Égérie Self-winding with Date
The 35 mm reference uses calibre 1088 and places the date in an off-centre display. The manufacturer describes a diamond-set ring around it and notes that the crown is set with a moonstone. Its product page specifies 34 round-cut diamonds around the date display. These are details from Vacheron Constantin’s description, not an independent assessment of how prominent or legible the display is in use.
Égérie Moon Phase
The 37 mm reference uses calibre 1088 L and substitutes a moon-phase display for the date. Vacheron Constantin describes a diamond-set ring around the off-centre moon-phase indication. The listed movement has 20 more parts than calibre 1088, while the published power reserve, frequency, and jewel count match the date model.

What the shared styling and construction mean
Both steel references pair an opaline silvered dial with a pleated pattern, stainless-steel bracelet, and transparent sapphire caseback. Their overall design language is therefore closely related; the display aperture and its diamond-set surround are the visible complication-specific differences described by the maker.

Water resistance and practical limits
Vacheron Constantin lists both watches at 3 bar (30 m). That is a manufacturer specification, not a recommendation or proof that either watch is suitable for swimming or diving. Consult the manufacturer for care and use guidance for the specific reference.
