How the retrograde date and moon phase work
Retrograde date
The date is indicated by a hand that travels along a scale rather than by a conventional window. At the end of its range, the hand returns to the beginning; this sweeping return is the retrograde display named in the model.
Precision moon phase
The display shows two gold moons against a starry background. Vacheron Constantin states that its precision moon phase needs adjustment every 122 years. That interval is the manufacturer’s specification, not an independently verified accuracy test.

The automatic calibre 2460 R31L/2 measures 27.2 mm across and 5.4 mm thick. The case is 41 mm in diameter and 10.48 mm thick, with a transparent sapphire-crystal caseback. Gold hands and hour markers are treated with blue Super-LumiNova, according to the manufacturer’s product listing.
The watch is rated to 5 bar (50 m) water resistance. Vacheron Constantin also lists magnetic resistance and notes an “Antimagnetic” marking on the caseback. The rating is a published specification; it does not by itself establish suitability for any particular activity.
