The Vario VERSA Year of the Horse and Eastern Arabic are two separate limited-edition reversible watches, not one model with interchangeable dials. The Horse edition pairs a red-and-gold face with a silver reverse; the Eastern Arabic edition pairs a green face with a gunmetal reverse. Both use two quartz movements, so each side can be set to a different time.
How the two VERSA editions differ
The most important differences are the dial colors, motifs, numeral styles and reverse-face finishes. Time+Tide’s January 2026 launch report describes each edition as limited to 100 pieces.

Time+Tide reported that the Horse dial’s gold calligraphy takes inspiration from the style of Wang Xi Zhi, a Jin dynasty calligrapher, and represents the 2026 Lunar Year of the Horse. The Eastern Arabic face uses a white minute track alongside its numerals. Choose between them primarily by the motif and color combination you prefer; both offer two contrasting faces in one case.
How the reversible dual-time design works
The case rotates within an outer frame and clicks into position with either dial facing outward. You have to take the watch off your wrist to flip it; it is not designed to switch faces while worn. Each side has its own Ronda Slimtech 1062 quartz movement, allowing the two faces to display separately set times. That makes the second dial useful for another time zone, or simply as an alternate look.

The rectangular 39 × 26 mm case and two-sided layout give the VERSA a dress-watch character. The reported 50-metre water-resistance figure is not, by itself, a recommendation for swimming; check Vario’s current guidance for intended use.

Price, availability and what to verify
Time+Tide listed a launch price of A$654 and availability from January 2026. That is a dated Australian-dollar launch figure, not confirmation of today’s price or stock. The reported edition limit is 100 watches per version, but it does not establish how many remain available.

Which version should you choose?
- Choose Year of the Horse if you prefer the red enamel, gold flecks and calligraphy motif, with a silver reverse.
- Choose Eastern Arabic if you prefer green enamel and Eastern Arabic numerals, with a gunmetal reverse.
- Consider either version for dual time if you want two separately set displays and are comfortable removing the watch to change the visible face.
