The company also describes the PMMA dial as impact-resistant and says the construction is protected by patent No. 102021000031718. Those are manufacturer claims; the product information does not provide independent impact testing or comparative measurements demonstrating reduced weight or bulk.

Case size and wearing footprint
The 42 mm diameter and 49 mm lug-to-lug are the most useful published dimensions for judging how much wrist space the watch occupies. Thickness is listed as 13.4 mm. Comparing those figures with a watch you already wear can help more than relying on the name Ultraleggero, which should not be taken as an independently verified weight claim: the cited listings do not give a case-weight figure.
Movement and materials
The listed caliber is the automatic Seiko NH70A, also styled NH70 in portions of the product page. Venezianico’s listings identify a 316L stainless-steel case and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The Italian reference 3921509 adds a gunmetal PVD finish. BGW9 Super-LumiNova is specified for the luminous elements.

Water resistance: what 20 ATM means here
Venezianico rates the Nereide Ultraleggero at 20 ATM and gives the equivalent as 200 m/656 ft. Treat this as the maker’s stated rating, not as a standalone guarantee for a particular dive, depth, or set of conditions. The product details cited here do not establish the crown design or provide activity-specific guidance.
Straps differ by reference
Do not assume every Ultraleggero comes with the same strap. The Italian listing for reference 3921509 specifies a made-in-Italy rubber strap; the US listing for reference 3921502 describes a hybrid leather-and-rubber strap. The cited product information does not state the lug width, so confirm fit before buying a replacement strap.

What to compare before choosing a skeletonized diver
The Ultraleggero’s design and figures are best assessed against the way you intend to wear it, rather than the brand’s descriptions alone. Compare:
- Fit: case diameter, lug-to-lug length and thickness against watches that fit you well.
- Movement: the named caliber and the service support available to you locally.
- Construction: crystal, case material, bezel and crown details.
- Readability: how clearly the hands and markers stand out against the open dial, along with the stated lume.
- Practical details: water-resistance rating, the strap supplied with the exact reference, warranty terms, local price and availability.
The official listings establish the Nereide Ultraleggero’s specifications, but do not provide head-to-head test results supporting a claim that it outperforms another skeletonized watch.
