This is the wording published in Wallpaper*. It is an attributed quotation in an independent publication, not a transcript of a Cartier press conference or a quotation taken from the collection’s Japanese-language announcement. Read the Wallpaper* feature.

What Cartier announced—and when
Cartier announced Le Chœur des Pierres in Saint-Tropez on May 13, 2026. The Japanese-language release, distributed by PR TIMES on behalf of Richemont Japan, presents the high-jewellery collection as work shaped by exceptional stones and craftsmanship. Its statements about the stones guiding creation are Maison copy, not words attributed to a named designer or executive. Read the May 13 announcement on PR TIMES.
The release date and the interview feature’s publication date are 13 days apart. Keep those dates attached to the material: the launch announcement establishes what Cartier released; the later Wallpaper* article supplies the named-speaker quotation.
Collection details reported by each source
The release gives gem details for specific necklaces. These are Cartier/Richemont figures as published, not independent gem assessments. Wallpaper* separately reports the collection’s scale and work time.

Carat totals describe the stated stones; the piece count and hours are figures reported by Wallpaper*. None of these numbers, by itself, establishes a piece’s quality or market value.

How to distinguish a Cartier quote from Cartier copy
- Named-speaker quotation: Karache-Langane’s words are explicitly attributed to her by Wallpaper* and carry that article’s publication date.
- Maison announcement: the PR TIMES release represents Cartier/Richemont’s corporate description of the collection. Unless a person is named as the speaker, do not recast its prose as a designer’s quote.
- Independent reporting: Wallpaper* is the source for the English quotation and its reported collection-scale and work-hour figures; keep those claims attributed to the publication.
Do not confuse this launch with Cartier’s 2025 plans
Richemont’s FY2025 annual report looked ahead to new designs in 2025 across Love, Juste un Clou and Clash jewelry, and Panthère and Santos watches. That corporate look-ahead is not evidence that those items were 2026 releases, and it is separate from Le Chœur des Pierres, announced in May 2026.
