On wrist, the movement is the display
The Super Freak does not present time through a conventional dial with fixed hands. Its open architecture makes the movement itself the visual focus, with the mechanism rotating as part of the time display. The official product listing confirms hours, minutes and seconds, and describes two flying tourbillons, a vertical differential and a patented gimbal system.

The official reference is 2520-500LE-3A-BLUE/3A. Ulysse Nardin lists its diameter as 44 mm and identifies it as a limited edition of 50 pieces. Diameter is only one part of wrist fit: the sources here do not establish lug-to-lug length or an independent, completed on-wrist fit assessment. The diameter alone therefore cannot tell you how far the case will extend across your wrist or how it will feel in daily wear.

T3’s April 2026 launch coverage reports a case height of 16.54 mm and says the brand described its perceived height as 12.2 mm. T3 indicated that hands-on testing of the perceived-height claim was still planned, so those figures are not an independent wear test. The report also listed launch prices of £297,020, €348,100 and US$361,600 before VAT; these are dated launch figures, not current retail quotes.
What is moving beneath the open display?
The self-winding UN-252 caliber contains 511 parts and 42 jewels, measures 42.15 mm in diameter, and has a stated 72-hour power reserve, according to the manufacturer. Its listed functions are hours, minutes and seconds. The unusual visual effect comes from a compact set of interacting mechanisms rather than a conventional fixed dial and hand arrangement.

These specifications explain why the watch reads as kinetic and architectural on the wrist. They do not establish legibility in particular lighting or how quickly a new wearer can read the display.
What to consider before judging wrist fit
- Case diameter: At 44 mm, it is a substantial stated width, but wrist coverage also depends on the case’s length across the wrist.
- Thickness: T3 reports 16.54 mm overall; its cited 12.2 mm perceived-height figure is attributed to the brand and was not independently tested in that coverage.
- Display preference: The mechanism-forward layout is the point of the design, but it differs from a familiar dial with fixed hands.
- Personal fit: A try-on is the most useful way to assess how the case sits, clears a cuff and balances on your wrist. No wrist-size-based fit verdict is established for this reference.

Ulysse Nardin’s official Super Freak product page lists the model as a 50-piece limited edition and provides its caliber specifications. The available information establishes a striking, movement-led wrist presence; it does not establish how the watch will fit or wear on any particular wrist.
