DUG also lists 37 mm Purist variants, including both types and date configurations. Fratello’s October 7, 2026 report says the 37 mm models start at €1,199, but that is a dated reported price, not a live quote. The smaller range has more limited dial colors, so confirm the exact type, color, and options on the specific product page.
Compare date and bracelet options before judging the price
The date is optional and sits at 6 o’clock. DUG’s Typ 1 listing displayed a €100 date option and a €100 stainless-steel bracelet option; leather choices are also listed. These are listing snapshots, and the total depends on the selected configuration.

DUG identifies the DUG 400 as based on Sellita SW 400 architecture and describes it as finished and decorated in Glashütte. Fratello’s report on the reviewed watches lists a 40-hour power reserve, 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), hacking seconds, and manual winding. Those reported specifications do not establish a mechanical distinction between Typ 1 and Typ 2.

DUG publishes a water-resistance rating of 100 m / 10 ATM. Fratello describes the maker’s guidance as suitable for swimming and snorkeling, while noting that this is not an independent water-resistance test and that movement can create pressure peaks outside stated test values. Treat the rating as the manufacturer’s specification, not a promise of suitability for deep-sea use. For frequent swimming, a bracelet or appropriate water-resistant strap is more practical than leather; Fratello notes that water, particularly seawater, can accelerate leather aging.
