David Beckham wore a 30mm steel-and-gold TUDOR Royal in a Tudor campaign, according to Esquire’s 29 July 2026 report. Tudor’s official ambassador page also lists the Royal among the watches associated with him. Neither source ties a reference number to the headline, so the identification is best stated as a Royal—not a confirmed exact reference.
Which Tudor watch did David Beckham wear?
Esquire identifies the watch as a 30mm steel-and-gold TUDOR Royal worn in a Tudor campaign. Tudor’s official David Beckham page lists the Royal alongside the Black Bay Chrono in steel and Black Bay Bronze, but does not identify a specific Royal reference or say which watch appears in the campaign. The Royal identification is therefore supported; the exact reference is not established by these sources.

The Royal is a less expected choice than Tudor’s Black Bay or Pelagos families, which Esquire associates more with rugged, tool-watch styling. The Royal’s integrated bracelet and dressier sport-chic look give it a different character. That contrast helps explain why the watch can read as a hidden gem without proving that it is scarce or universally more affordable.

What is the TUDOR Royal?
The Royal is a TUDOR collection with an integrated bracelet and a sport-chic design. Esquire’s account of the 2026 range describes 30mm, 36mm, and 40mm sizes, updated bracelet links, a T-Fit micro-adjust clasp, and manufacture automatic movements across that range. Those are reported details for the 2026 collection; they should not be assumed to apply to earlier Royal watches.

The sources do not establish a current price for the campaign watch or support calling it universally affordable. Price depends on the exact reference, condition, market, and date; no exact reference or current retail listing is tied to Beckham’s watch here.
Is Beckham wearing the Tudor Monarch?
There is no source-backed connection between Beckham and the Monarch in the material available. T3 reported that Tudor revived the Monarch in 2026, but its launch coverage does not say Beckham wore it. The Monarch’s return may fit the “wanted back” wording, but it is not a sound basis for identifying the watch in the headline.

What to check before buying a vintage Tudor
If the appeal is an older Tudor rather than the 2026 Royal, treat the watch as an individual vintage purchase. British GQ’s vintage buying guide highlights the reference, condition, originality of parts, and whether the box and papers are present as details that affect value. It also recommends researching the reference and using a reputable dealer.
- Confirm the reference. Establish exactly which model and variant is being offered before comparing examples.
- Assess condition and originality. Ask what parts have been replaced or refinished and request documentation where available.
- Evaluate the seller. Tudor Collector founder Ross Povey tells British GQ: “The saying ‘buy the dealer, not the watch’ is a bit of a cliché but it’s about the best advice anybody can give.” It is useful buying advice, not a guarantee of authenticity.
- Compare like with like. Box, papers, condition, and reference can change value, so a headline price alone is not enough to judge whether an example is a bargain.
For further context, British GQ’s 20 November 2021 article described an earlier Black Bay as under £3,000 on a bracelet at that time. That is a historical price reference, not a current Tudor price or a valuation of the Royal.
