Why was the watch initially described as unknown?
On February 9, 2024, photographs of Ricciardo for the newly partnered Visa Cash App RB Formula One team showed two Black Bay Ceramic watches: a standard black-dial version and a striking blue-dial variant. At the time, Hodinkee reported that industry conversations pointed to the blue watch being team kit; that was a contemporary interpretation, not confirmation that it was a retail model. Hodinkee’s February report and Monochrome’s report from the same day both noted the unusual blue dial. Monochrome asked whether it would reach the public or remain exclusive to the team.
TUDOR answered that question later in 2024. Its official release described the Black Bay Ceramic “Blue” in Visa Cash App RB livery and confirmed it matched the configuration worn by the team that season. TUDOR’s 2024 press materials provide the brand’s confirmation.

When did the blue Black Bay Ceramic go on sale?
On July 3, 2024, TUDOR made the blue configuration available to the public through its retailers. Hodinkee identified it as reference 79210CNU and reported that it was not a limited edition. That means the watch was not still team-exclusive after its public release; availability at any particular retailer today is a separate question. Hodinkee’s July 2024 announcement reported a US launch list price of $5,150. That is a historical launch price, not a verified current price.
How to identify the Black Bay Ceramic “Blue”
The blue version keeps the Black Bay Ceramic’s black ceramic case and core proportions, while its dial and color accents set it apart. Hodinkee’s July 2024 specifications report:

The movement’s METAS Master Chronometer certification is the anti-magnetic credential shared with the standard Black Bay Ceramic, according to Hodinkee. The blue dial and matching strap details are the most immediately visible differences; the case remains 41 by 14.4 mm in matte black ceramic.
