Fitbit Ace Pass is the required service plan for activating Fitbit Ace LTE. In the U.S., it includes the watch’s 4G LTE connectivity, parent-controlled calling and messaging, location sharing, Fitbit Arcade games, software and content updates, activity features, and the connected services used for parental supervision. As of August 18, 2026, Google lists Ace Pass at $9.99 per month or $119 per year.
It is not Fitbit Premium, does not include the Ace LTE hardware, and does not provide emergency calling or roaming.

What Ace Pass includes
4G LTE connectivity
Ace Pass provides the cellular service built into Fitbit Ace LTE. A child can use the watch away from Wi-Fi without their own smartphone or separate mobile-data plan. There is no separate SIM purchase or standard carrier activation fee.
Coverage is not universal: service depends on supported networks, location, signal strength, network conditions, and device configuration. Roaming is not included, and Airplane Mode disables calling, messaging, and location sharing. Ace LTE cannot call emergency services, so Ace Pass should not be treated as an emergency-response service. See Google’s Ace LTE service limitations.

Location sharing
Parents can view the child’s location through the Fitbit Ace app. This is location sharing, not guaranteed continuous or real-time tracking. The watch must be powered on, recently active, and connected to the internet for location information to be available, and updates may be delayed or unavailable.
Calling, messaging, and voice memos
Children can call, message, and send voice memos to parents and approved contacts. The watch supports up to 20 contacts, who must use the Fitbit Ace app on a compatible phone. Parents control which contacts can communicate with the child.
The system does not permit unrestricted calls or messages to arbitrary phone numbers. A parent’s phone does not need to be nearby for voice calls, but messaging requires the connected phone to be online. Contact rules and permissions are explained in Google’s calling and messaging guide.

An active Ace Pass includes access to the current Fitbit Arcade games. The games are designed around movement: children earn Move Goal points and virtual items for their eejie avatar through activity rather than buying shortcuts or in-game unlocks.
“All games included” does not mean unlimited, unrestricted play. Gameplay is tied to the service’s movement-based design, only one game can be active at a time, and games may be unavailable during School Time or when Ace Pass is inactive. Wi-Fi is required for game updates, and progress is backed up while the watch is charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Software, Bit Valley, and Daily Quest updates
Google’s current U.S. Store listing says every Ace Pass plan includes software updates as well as Bit Valley and Daily Quest updates. This does not promise indefinite support, unlimited future features, or compatibility with every future game and hardware configuration.
Activity and movement tracking
Ace LTE’s activity features include tracking for steps, floors climbed, lighter activity, active minutes, and heart-rate information. These features support the movement-based game loop and are part of the connected Ace LTE experience.
Parental and family features
Ace Pass supports the connected services used for parental supervision, approved contacts, family chat, Family Quests, and location management through the Fitbit Ace app. The parent still needs a compatible phone, internet access, a Google Account, and the appropriate parental authority for a supervised child account.
What Ace Pass does not include
- The Fitbit Ace LTE watch: The current U.S. Google Store listing shows the hardware separately at $179.99. The box includes the watch, protective bumper, one Ace Band, USB-C fast-charging cable, quick-start guide, and stickers. Visit the official product page for the current listing.
- A child’s smartphone: The child does not need one, but the parent does need a compatible Android phone or iPhone for setup and management.
- Fitbit Premium or Google Health Premium: Ace Pass is a device-specific connectivity and service plan, not a family-wide health subscription. It also does not include Google One storage or unrelated Google subscriptions.
- Roaming: Ace Pass does not provide international roaming.
- Emergency calling: Ace LTE cannot call emergency services.
- Unrestricted communication: Children can communicate only through the approved-contact system.
- Extra Ace Bands: The watch includes one band. Annual subscribers may qualify for a promotional bonus band, but additional accessories are separate purchases.
- Tap to Pay membership: Payment cards for supervised users may require a separate paid membership. Tap to Pay should not be assumed to be covered by Ace Pass. See the technical specifications and requirements.
Monthly versus annual Ace Pass
These are the current U.S. prices shown by Google as of August 18, 2026:

Paying monthly for 12 months would cost $119.88, so the annual plan saves $0.88 over a full year—about $0.88 per month when averaged across 12 months. The bonus Ace Band may be the more meaningful difference.

Annual subscribers receive a redemption code by email after activation. The code is redeemed through the Google Store, expires 90 days after activation, and is subject to the promotion’s terms. The band is not included automatically with every monthly subscription.

What you need to activate Ace Pass
- Fitbit Ace LTE, its included band, and charging cable
- A compatible Android phone running Android 11 or newer, or an iPhone running iOS 16 or newer
- The Fitbit Ace app
- A Google Account and internet-connected phone
- A supported country or region
- Parent or Family Manager authority for a supervised child account
During setup, open the Fitbit Ace app, sign in with a Google Account, choose that a child will wear the watch, create or select the child’s profile, choose the monthly or annual plan, add a payment method, and pair the watch using the matching code. Follow the remaining parental-control prompts. Google’s activation guide covers the setup flow.
Ace Pass is linked to the child’s account. If the watch is replaced or reset and the same account is used, a second subscription may not be necessary, although setup and account eligibility still apply. Each Ace LTE requires its own Ace Pass; one household plan does not cover multiple watches.
What happens if you cancel?
Ace Pass renews automatically unless canceled. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal rather than refunding the unused portion of the current billing period, and service generally continues until that period ends.

After the paid period expires, the watch loses LTE connectivity and the parent loses access to Ace Pass services such as location sharing and connected supervision. Calling and messaging may stop working, and the watch may no longer work as intended. The child’s Google Account remains associated with the device unless the watch is reset.
To cancel, open the Fitbit Ace app and go to Profile picture or initials → Subscriptions → Manage subscriptions. The app redirects to Google Payments Center, where you select Manage on the Ace Pass card, then choose Cancel subscription and confirm. See Google’s cancellation and refund information.

LTE does not work
Confirm that Ace Pass is active, the region and network are supported, Airplane Mode is off, the watch has signal, and its software is current. Location features also require the watch to be powered on, recently active, and connected to the internet.
Games are unavailable
Check Ace Pass status, School Time settings, software updates, Wi-Fi access for game updates, and whether another game is already active.

Calling works but messaging does not
Messaging requires the connected parent or contact phone to be online. Also confirm that the contact uses the Fitbit Ace app and has been approved by the parent.

The annual band code has not arrived
Check the email account used for the subscription, including spam, trash, and other inbox categories. The code is sent after activation and expires after 90 days.
Is Ace Pass worth it?
Ace Pass is a reasonable fit when a child needs controlled calling and messaging without a smartphone, the parent values location sharing, and movement-based games are likely to encourage regular use. Reliable compatible coverage and comfort with a recurring fee are essential.
It is a poor fit for families that need emergency calling, international roaming, unrestricted messaging, a one-time-purchase tracker, or a watch that works without cellular service after the initial purchase. It may also offer poor value if the child will not use the movement-game system or if several children would each require a separate plan.
The clearest way to view Ace Pass is as a connected kids-watch service plan. It combines cellular connectivity, supervised communication and location, and movement-based content—not general Fitbit Premium benefits.
