There is no confirmed single watch model used by every Royal Marine. Watchmaker CWC says divers’ watches are still issued to Royal Marines and the Special Boat Service, but it does not identify a model. The Ministry of Defence’s latest model-specific list identified a Citizen divers’ watch in 2014; that historical record does not confirm today’s issue.
What is confirmed about Royal Marines watches?
The available evidence points to different answers depending on whether you mean current issue claims, a dated official list, or watches sold with Royal Marines branding.

- Current but non-specific claim: CWC says, “Royal marines & SBS with divers watches which are still issued.” The company does not name a model or say the same watch is issued to every Royal Marine. CWC

What did the Ministry of Defence list in 2014?

The same response said the CWC divers’ watch mentioned by the requester had been in service until it became obsolete in 2003. The record is useful for understanding past equipment, but it is too old to identify what is issued now. Read the MOD response

Does CWC identify the current issued model?
No. CWC’s website makes a current, general statement that divers’ watches are still issued to Royal Marines and the SBS, but supplies no model name, issue date or role-by-role breakdown. It supports saying that CWC claims an ongoing issue context for divers’ watches; it does not support naming a particular CWC model as the current standard watch for all Royal Marines. CWC’s statement

A January 2024 advertisement in Navy News offered a personalised watch with a Royal Marines emblem. It described a quartz movement, a 40 mm steel-alloy case and 3 ATM/30 metre water resistance. - Treat CWC’s statement as evidence that the company says divers’ watches remain issued, not as model-level confirmation.

- Do not infer issue status from a military name, emblem or retail listing.
No newer official model-level confirmation is established here, so the exact current model—and whether watches differ by role—remains unknown.
