What is the Original Grain American Heritage watch?
American Heritage was a five-reference collection described in an August 24, 2023 sponsored feature published through FTS USA on aBlogtoWatch. Three versions used whiskey-barrel wood; two used wood recovered from a building used to store bourbon during the 1930s. The collection’s central idea was to combine those distinct wood histories with quartz timekeeping.
The feature says the wood was recovered in Kentucky and planed and cut in Minnesota. It also describes an optional Horween leather strap handcrafted in South Carolina. These are launch-feature claims, not independently verified sourcing or current product details.

The 2023 feature reports a 22 mm lug width, 49.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement, 10.8 mm thickness, sapphire crystal, and 5 ATM water resistance across the collection. Treat these as published launch-era specifications rather than independently verified measurements or current listing details.

Does the Original Grain American Heritage have a U.S.-made movement?
The careful answer is narrower than “made in the USA.” The sponsored feature says the Ameriquartz movements are jeweled by American watchmakers at Fine Timepiece Solutions’ facility in Fountain Hills, Arizona. It does not document where every component was produced, where the full watch was assembled, or whether the watch meets a particular U.S.-origin labeling standard.
The article itself acknowledges that it is stepping over the FTC’s definitions. So the source supports a specific domestic-workmanship claim—American watchmakers jewel the movement at the Arizona facility—not an unqualified claim that the entire movement or watch is U.S.-made.

What movement is in the Original Grain American Heritage watch?
The 2023 feature identifies a high-torque 7320B Ameriquartz quartz movement with hours, minutes, and seconds. It presents the movement as the collection’s technical distinction, especially alongside the reclaimed-wood cases. No independent movement inspection or testing is established by that feature.

The feature said the watches were offered through Kickstarter in August 2023. It reported early-backer steel models at $499, described as $250 below retail, and a limited bronze model at $699. Those are campaign-era prices and availability, not current offers.

Original Grain’s current homepage shows a continuing whiskey-watch category and watch accessories, but that alone does not confirm that American Heritage or any of its five 2023 references remains in stock. It also does not establish an Amazon listing, current pricing, or availability of the historically described strap. Verify a specific listing with the brand or seller before treating it as an active product.
