As of October 8, 2026, the Chicago edition is over. The official Windup page marks the 2026 fair as concluded. The sources do not confirm dates or a venue for the next Chicago edition, and Windup notes that event details may change.
How did admission work?
Admission was free and open to everyone, with no registration required, according to Worn & Wound’s June 11, 2026 announcement. Morgan MFG’s listing also described the event as free and open to the public. No day-by-day opening hours are established in those listings.

What could visitors see and do?
Windup is a hands-on watch fair: visitors could handle watches, explore new releases, and speak with participating brands. The 2026 program also included panels and special events, according to the organizer’s sponsor announcement.
A larger venue and an EDC Expo area
Morgan MFG was a new venue for the Chicago fair. Worn & Wound said the move provided more room to explore and gather, with natural light. In a January venue-tour announcement, the organizer described the space as 30,000+ square feet and said the expansion would make room for Chicago’s first official EDC Expo area. That square-footage figure is the organizer’s description, not an independently verified measurement.

How many brands were there?
Published exhibitor figures were estimates, not a final audited count. Worn & Wound’s June announcement anticipated over 70 exhibiting brands and thousands of enthusiasts; a later sponsor announcement likewise described more than 70 brands and hundreds of watches. Morgan MFG’s event listing instead said over 50 brands. These are estimates from different publishers, not a confirmed final exhibitor total. None of them establishes how many people attended.
Windup’s current About page cites 30,000+ attendees a year and 150+ brands across its four-city tour. Those are tour-wide figures, not attendance or exhibitor counts for Chicago specifically: Windup’s About page.

Which watch-industry partners were named?
Worn & Wound named Atelier Wen, Christopher Ward, Citizen, eBay Live, and Oris as the 2026 lead sponsors. Miyota was the official movement sponsor, and Brew Watch Co. sponsored the coffee bar. These partnerships indicate the event’s watch-industry connections; they do not establish that every sponsor exhibited every product line.
