What Xiaomi unveiled
The product at the center of the June 2025 announcement is called Xiaomi AI Glasses. Xiaomi positioned it as a wearable camera and AI assistant, combining a first-person camera, speakers, microphones and software features in a glasses frame. What the Xiaomi AI Glasses can do
Capture photos, video and live footage
The AI Glasses have a 12MP first-person camera using a Sony IMX681 sensor. Xiaomi describes video calls from the wearer’s viewpoint, real-time livestreaming and USB-C support for plug-in livestreaming. Gadgets 360 reports electronic image stabilization and a video-recording limit of up to 10 minutes per clip. Xiaomi’s cited launch announcement does not establish those details, so they should be treated as reported specifications rather than universal limits across every mode or software version. The available product information does not fully establish how the recording indicator works, whether users can disable the camera, which livestreaming apps are supported, or how original files can be transferred without a Xiaomi phone. Those details should be checked for the specific regional model before purchase.
Use Xiaomi’s advertised AI features
Xiaomi lists object recognition, text translation, calorie counting, general question-and-answer interactions based on what the wearer sees, meeting transcription and meeting summaries. The company also advertises real-time interpretation across 10 languages, including English, Japanese, German and Spanish. Xiaomi names a Snapdragon AR1 processor, a lower-power secondary chip and its Vela OS. It does not specify which AI tasks run on the glasses and which require a phone, internet connection or cloud service. The product should not be described as running Android or HyperOS on the basis of the launch information.

The glasses have a 263mAh battery. Xiaomi claims up to 8.6 hours of use, but that figure should not be read as guaranteed continuous camera-recording or livestreaming time: the announcement does not provide a test profile, and camera use, calls, AI tasks, volume, network conditions and temperature can affect endurance.

The Mijia product adds four microphones, voice-assistant activation through temple touch controls, audio recording, notification readouts and a privacy mode intended to reduce sound leakage. Xiaomi claims wind-noise reduction up to 4.5 m/s. Its international product page also says 10 minutes of charging provides up to four hours of listening, a full charge takes about one hour, standby is about 12 days and usage is 1.5 days. Mijia frames come in Pilot, Browline and Titanium styles, with temple thickness as low as 5mm and second-generation quick-release lens technology. The weight figure excludes lenses, so it is not directly comparable with the AI Glasses’ approximately 40g figure. Xiaomi says the Mijia glasses are compatible with iOS, Android and more, and identifies the Xiaomi Glasses app for recordings, device management, gesture settings, notification readouts and finding the glasses.
