The YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 has a compelling specification sheet: a bronze case, 300 m water-resistance rating, an in-house CMM.10 automatic movement with a 70-hour reserve, and a five-year international warranty. But the current US listing is $1,999, and the available evidence does not establish that it sets a market-wide standard for budget bronze watches. It is better judged as a feature-rich bronze diver whose value depends on its fit, patina, and what you consider a comparable alternative.
What the current Superman Bronze CMM.10 offers
YEMA’s current US product page lists the standard Superman Bronze CMM.10, reference 17.26.10.38.ZN.U8, at $1,999. The price is specific to that listing and market; it should not be treated as a universal price. YEMA describes the watch as designed, manufactured, assembled, and calibrated by its watchmakers in Morteau, France. That is the manufacturer’s statement, not independent verification of every component’s origin. YEMA’s current product page lists the following specifications:
- 39 mm bronze case, listed as 11 mm thick, with 19 mm lugs
- 2.20 mm double-domed sapphire crystal
- Screw-down crown and bronze unidirectional bezel with 0–60 graduation
- 300 m / 30 bar water-resistance rating
- Automatic CMM.10 movement, running at 28,800 A/h, with a 70-hour power reserve
- Integrated FKM Viton rubber strap with brushed bronze buckle
- Five-year international warranty for mechanical YEMA Manufacture watches
These are manufacturer-published claims and specifications, not the results of an independent water-resistance or accuracy test.
How it wears, and why thickness figures differ
The 39 mm case is not the whole fit story. Fratello measured the 39 mm model at 48 mm lug-to-lug and 12.9 mm thick including the domed crystal; its reported case-only thickness was 10.7 mm. YEMA lists the case as 11 mm thick and gives the crystal thickness separately. Those figures use different measurement conventions rather than necessarily contradicting one another. Fratello’s hands-on report also gives the 41 mm version a 49.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement.
#1 Best Overall
- Solar powered quartz movement helps reduce frequent battery replacement.
- 300M water resistant design supports swimming, snorkeling, diving, and water sports.
- Luminous hands and markers improve readability in dark or low-light conditions.
- Durable case and mineral glass are built for outdoor and everyday wear.
- WATCH SIZE & WRIST FIT: Features a 45.8 mm (1.80 in) case diameter and a 51.4 mm (2.02 in) lug-to-lug length. The adjustable 24 mm silicone strap accommodates wrists up to 230 mm (9.1 in). Measure your wrist and check the case dimensions before ordering, especially if you have a smaller wrist.
For the 39 mm version, the 19 mm lug width also matters when considering a replacement strap. The integrated original strap is specific to the watch; confirm compatibility with the exact reference before buying a substitute. The 41 mm version uses 20 mm lugs.
Bronze means the watch’s appearance will change
YEMA says the bronze case and buckle develop patina. The finish will therefore change with exposure and wear, although the available sources do not establish a uniform rate or a particular outcome for every owner. That evolving appearance is part of the material’s appeal for some buyers and a drawback for anyone who wants the watch to stay pristine. Fratello’s reviewer personally preferred the unaged look; that is a preference, not evidence of a defect. The sources do not provide a detailed care procedure, so avoid assuming a particular cleaning method is appropriate.

The CMM.10 movement: what is documented
YEMA lists the CMM.10 as an automatic movement with a 70-hour reserve and a frequency of 28,800 A/h. Fratello’s 2023 report adds that the movement has 208 components and 27 jewels, and reports YEMA’s stated regulation of -3/+5 seconds per day. Those detailed figures and the stated rate are reported by Fratello; they are not an independent accuracy test of every watch. The current YEMA page describes chronometric precision but does not publish a test protocol or independent results.
Fratello reports that the movement is developed at YEMA’s Morteau base, with components made by YEMA and regulating organs sourced in Switzerland within roughly 72 miles; it says final assembly, regulation, and testing take place at YEMA. Treat this as the report’s account of the supply and assembly process, rather than proof that every movement component is French-made.

Standard model and limited edition are different choices
Do not confuse the standard watch with YEMA’s separate limited-edition two-layer-dial version. The limited edition is offered in 39 mm and 41 mm diameters, with 100 numbered pieces per size. YEMA lists 19 mm lugs for the 39 mm and 20 mm for the 41 mm, alongside a 300 m rating and CMM.10 movement with the same stated reserve. Details and availability belong to that variant, not automatically to the current standard listing. YEMA’s limited-edition page has the variant specifications.

Without a current, same-market comparison that accounts for taxes and actual transaction prices, the word “budget” is subjective. A fair comparison should also weigh movement specifications and stated accuracy, dimensions, water-resistance rating, crystal, strap, warranty, and independent testing—not just the case material or headline price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does it set a new standard for budget bronze watches?
The evidence supports calling the Superman Bronze CMM.10 a strongly specified bronze diver, not declaring it a proven market benchmark. Its stated 300 m rating, 70-hour reserve, sapphire crystal, integrated FKM strap, and five-year warranty make a substantial package on paper. At the current US listing of $1,999, however, whether it qualifies as “budget” depends on the buyer’s market and the alternatives available there. No like-for-like competitor comparison, resale-price analysis, service-cost comparison, or independent reliability data establishes that it sets a new standard.

For a buyer who wants a bronze diver with a changing finish, a relatively compact 39 mm case, and YEMA’s stated movement and warranty package, it merits consideration. If your priority is a stable finish or a verified price advantage over competing watches, those points are not established by the specifications alone.
