How does the Pilot Big Date Flyback differ from the Chronomaster Sport?
Pilot Big Date Flyback: aviation styling and added functions
The Pilot is the functional outlier in the trio. Its 41 × 52 × 14.3 mm case surrounds a media-blasted blue dial, while the El Primero 3652 combines a flyback chronograph with a big date. A flyback lets the wearer reset and restart the chronograph in one action, rather than stopping, resetting, and starting it separately.
Chronomaster Sport: familiar sport-chronograph character
The Chronomaster Sport uses the El Primero 3600, as does the Defy Skyline, and Fratello describes it as retaining the familiar movement and specification set. Its blue ceramic construction is paired with a polished bezel and center links and a sunburst blue dial. At 41 mm wide and 13.6 mm thick, it is slimmer than the Pilot’s stated 14.3 mm thickness, though the report gives the Pilot’s longer overall case dimension as 52 mm.

What sets the Defy Skyline Chronograph apart?
The Defy Skyline is the only model in the report explicitly described with both a blue ceramic case and matching ceramic bracelet. Its 42 mm case is 12.7 mm thick, and the blue sunray dial sits above the El Primero 3600. Fratello lists a 1/10-second display and 60-hour power reserve, in addition to the movement’s stated 36,000 beats per hour. This makes it the integrated-bracelet option for someone who wants the trio’s most visibly continuous ceramic look.
What were the reported launch prices?
Fratello’s April 2, 2025 article listed prices in Swiss francs, euros, and US dollars. The Chronomaster Sport was reported at CHF 21,900 / €23,700 / US$22,700; the Pilot Big Date Flyback at CHF 15,400 / €16,500 / US$15,500; and the Defy Skyline at CHF 22,900 / €24,800 / US$23,800. These are launch-report figures, not a current official Zenith price list; present-day prices and availability are not established by that report.

- Consider the Chronomaster Sport if you prefer a traditional sports-chronograph format with blue ceramic and polished accents.
Fratello’s Thomas Van Straaten called the anniversary release a “160th-anniversary trio of blue ceramic chronographs” and characterized the watches as visually bold and bright cobalt. That color description is the writer’s impression, not a standardized color specification. He also expressed a personal view that he would not buy one; it is commentary, rather than a claim about quality or suitability.
